The Constitution of the Duchy of the Imperium of LothlariaThe Terminus is the supreme leader of Lothlaria.The Terminus shall have the power to levy taxes, raise an army, and appoint dukes, earls, and senators.The Terminus shall hold the Throne until death or voluntary resignation, unless he is found guilty of committing high crimes.All Lothlarian citizens have the right to speak freely, to peacefully assemble, to print what they please so long as it is not libel, and to worship as they chose.The Ducal Conclave shall have the power to create and pass bills.The Grand Elector casts the deciding votes in the case of a tied-vote in the Conclave.The Grand Elector is chosen by the Terminus.The Terminus shall have the power to chose a successor. This power shall never be given to any other government officer.All citizens have the right to bear arms and form militias. However, all militias or any other combat groups are under the direct control of the Strategos.Strategos is appointed by the Terminus.Taxes are 2% of all income, and are collected biannually, once in January and once in July.Lothlaria reserves the right to withdraw from any union, federation, or other form of alliance if any kind of tyrant ever comes to rule the Imperium's citizens. However, a vote of seccession must be taken. A majority of Lothlarian citizens must vote to seccede in order for the state to do so.Duchies are forbiden to seccede from the Imperium. Any attempt of seccession shall be squashed in a martial fashion.All citizens must pledge their loyalty to the Terminus once every six months.Every citizen of Lothlaria has the right to vote in bills concerning the state. No one shall be denied suffrage at any time.The Terminus has the power to banish a citizen if they harass the Throne or the citizens of the Imperium.The official abreviation for this Imperium shall be LOTH.The Terminus has the power to construct new duchies and cities.All government officials must swear fealty to the Throne.Dual citizenship is allowed. Government officials in LOTH are allowed to hold government positions in other states/nations.The Terminus has the power to propose annexations of other geopolitical bodies, but all annexations must be approved by the Ducal Conclave.The Terminus may make/break any kind of treaty/alliance.The words of the Terminus, unless in violation with the constitution shall be taken as law.The Throne shall never be disrespected. The Throne shall never be abolished.
