I just noticed something very strange...

Post by Shyriath »

I just realized that whenever I read Erik's posts, I hear Jim Raynor speaking the words in my head (having played StarCraft before, and indeed recently, I am familiar with the voice). It's really strange, because I usually just read and understand; I don't typically imagine the voice of the typist.Next thing you know, I'm going to imagine the little Raynor picture moving about like it does in the game...

Well, their styles are mostly similar, but Erik also sometimes says things Raynor would never say..."The Fierce Midget Pirates of Willygoat!" "I believe they just installed Gentoo Linux."

Quote:Well, their styles are mostly similar, but Erik also sometimes says things Raynor would never say...I dunno if it's so much any similarity of style as the fact that he has a Raynor picture sitting there. Because it's there to see, maybe that's how I visualize him... though whether that's a good thing or not, I don't know. :P

I've had people tell me they expected me to accually look like Raynor if they met me.. in fact.. I think that MIGHT have been Scott who said that... I'm not sure...Shyriath... Who are you? (not in a mean way...) I see you here all the time... But if I'm correct you aren't a cit.. or.. are you... hmm.... Where's the record book.... ? *goes to find the record book*I got no problem with you... infact.. You're more than welcome here.. I just... keep getting this feeling I should know you.. But I don't.. and you Use my name... Erik.. not many tend to.. unless I deal with them personally... and I don't think I've ever worked with you... hmm.. I'm tired.. maybe that's it... I'm gonna move on to the next thread now..... *rambles off forgetting about the records...* Raynor M'JiliadKaiser of Shireroth

Ahhhh, that's the question...

Post by Shyriath »

...Who am I? Indeed, who is anyone? Do any of us really know ourselves? Can we...Bah. My mind skipped a groove again. At any rate, no, I'm not a citizen... so far. I'm just freeloading around here, since no one wants to kick me out. And no, I don't think you know me... I just said "Erik" because that's how everyone else seems to refer to you. Dragon see, dragon do.

Shirlan is actually doing better than I expected (so far). I don't know what dual citizenship laws are like around here, but Shirlan is slowly moving from "project" to "nation", especially with a Ducal Council soon to be formed, and I don't know if being a leader of one micronation and a citizen of another would be considered having a conflict of interest...Speaking of Shirlan, I have a question. We're a rather roleplaying bunch over there, and even politics is carried out in RPing style; would joining the MCS map cause too much trouble? Having seen Attera and Babkha and those folks depart the map because of not wanting to associate with people perceived at roleplayers, I'd hate to precipitate another departure by barging in. Should we stay away, or has everyone who might object already gone to the AR map?

Go ahead and Join the MCS.. EVERYONE is welcome....Being a leader of one nation and a cit somewhere else isn't a conflict of interests.. per say.. unless you lead one nation.. and try to become leader elsewhere... than.. that can cause problems....Shireroth would allow you citizenship.. as long as you didn't already have more than 2 before becoming a Shireroth citizen. The whole.. Tri-Citizenship law.. thingy... Raynor M'JiliadKaiser of Shireroth

Email replied to! Although (I forgot to mention this there) that that address will essentially send it straight to shyriath@yahoo.com anyway, that being my usual email.Erik: Just making sure, on both counts. I know Babkha has some rules about not being the leader of a foreign micronation... and I wouldn't want to cause any trouble by joining the MCS.... but I think my main concerns have been addressed. (I have been part of three micronations, all of my own making, but never at the same time; they were one after another. At the current time, I only belong to Shirlan.)

The MCS is open to ALL. But yeah.. Shireroth's only citizenship law is that you can only hold 3 citizenships.. including Shireroth. the Tri-Citizenship law. Raynor M'JiliadKaiser of Shireroth

I'm not much good at planning, but I do have an idea. You know how some people live in trees to keep people from cutting them down? Well, people could do the same general sort of thing here... namely, strap themselves to a kiwi. While the kiwi in question would certainly be annoyed, at least it would be protected from harm!
