Petition re Byzantia/Lesser Attera

Most gracious and doubtless beautiful Kaiseress for whom if niftiness had a specifically feminine variant I would doubtless address you with it in praise, please accept this humble if slightly incoherent petition.It is known that the County of Byzantia is without territory, it is also known that the County of Lesser Attera is without a count.There is a elegant solution that recommends itself. Let Lesser Attera become Byzantia and kill birds with one stone.Why Lesser Attera when there are so many count-less counties? The answer lies in Elwynn. The good count of Byzantia has asked to join Elwynn and to join Port Illumination to form a barony. Port Illumination is of course an exile nation from old Kildare, sprung from Hallucination which used to once rule over Lesser Atteran territory. Thus we would have a solution that would end the schism and restore contentment. I strongly urge you your highness to accept this modest proposal.My thanks.

I honestly truly, with no sarcasm, don't see why allowing Byzantia control over Lesser Attera (And consequently uniting both new and old halluci's together in a barony) would cause so much controversy over a county that Hypatia has no rule over.ANd Conglacio, regardless of her Duchess-ship, she has no authority over Lesser Attera, as it is a Shireland, under the direct control of the Kaiser - not to dis Hypatia, merely clearing some fog from the windowpane... if you will.

I too would actually prefer to see Lesser Attera unclaimed until it can be joined into the Duchy of Kildare by some future resident. I don't feel as strongly about it as Bill does, nor for the same reasons, but I do believe Lesser Attera belongs in the area understood conceptually to be "Kildare" even if it does not match the current borders of the Duchy of Kildare at this time.Perhaps another suitable territory can be chosen. Seeing as there are still remnants of Halluci there, the Halluci that followed my style of Halluci rule, and as I still rule those Halluci who follow that style of Halluci rule, and seeing as I dont think it's legal for people to 'reserve' counties for people they dont even know are coming, much less who will want that spot, and since this seems more as an act of revenge and defiance against me because we all know I want that territory to govern, and as it is officially a 'Shireland' and not part of the Duchy of Kildare.....I dont see any legitimacy in your claim.

Oz, that land was part of Kildare before you ever came along, before either of us came along, and aren't we talking about land for Byzantia, not you?I am not doing this to spite you, because I really do believe that that land should be part of Kildare, as the counties of North and South Novi Dalmacija and Schlangen should be part of Kildare. I don't feel that Kildare has any sort of claim to Hyperborea and Lothlaria, because 1) they are not contiguous, and 2) they were added to the political Dutchy during the last shift. The other counties I mentioned are both contiguous with the current Kildare and have historically been Kildari. (Ric tells me they were once part of Elwynn, long ago, but they have been Kildari as long as I have been away from them, and I care about contiguousness.)That said, you also left Kildare, relinquishing claim to that land and taking the culture with you. Let that decision stand, and let Lesser Attera be, please. I want Kildare to be contiguous and whole one day, and I don't feel it is fair for its historical lands to be claimed and immediately absorbed into a noncontiguous Duchy or Barony elsewhere when there is so much other land to claim on the main continent. *throws grenade for the hell of it*BO0O0O0O0/\/\!!!!!!

Seeing that this does cause controversy and that it would be not-so-good to start off with bad relations with Kildare, perhaps we should look at other places.It would be better if Elwynn could be as contiguous as possible, but that's just my personal opinion. Oz,I'm seeing as it is an issue that our friends in Kildare take upon strongly. And seeing that you also have strong emotional bonds to the place... I think that weighs really strongly. The Elwynnese people have a connexion to the place. I hope that the Kaiseress will consider the emotions of the people of PIB and Elwynn as a whole when considering this.
