Resolutions

Post by Scott Alexander »

I need to know the average Shireroth screen resolution so I can take it into account when making the forum changes. If you don't know screen resolution, go to Control Panel and then Display and then Settings and there should be something that says XXXX by XXX pixels. Those numbers are your screen resolution. Post them here. (I assume those of you using something other than Windows are computer-literate enough to know your screen resolution already)In particular, I would like to extend the Malarbor bar on the top to where it looks right in my resolution, but I'm afraid that it will go out of the screen on some smaller monitors.

Does anyone know how I would get a table to cover the entire width of a person's screen and no more, no matter what resolution it is? Can you put a WIDTH="100%" tag in the table tag or in the td tag or something?

1024x768 at school, 1600x1200 and 1024x768 at home. But that's not really relevant anymore, I guess. I spend my days enjoying the minty taste that surrounds Erik.

Well...actually...I was wondering if you knew a way to get a background to expand to fill the entire screen - I know Stjepan's having some trouble with it now but I'd rather not expand the graphic unless I have to because then the bottom would be cut off for everyone else.

I always use %ages for tables etc, they work the best. Its best only really to do them for width though... just use width=xx%

Who would slap me while IÂ’m searching for the bottom of the bottle? That would just be a terrible waste of good whiskey!
