So I asked her to marry me. She obviously said yes. (considering we have the wedding worked out already.... )

I took her to For Bragg/Mendocino and asked her on a beach made of glass. I'm not joking.



It was actually just beyond the rocks on the left of the pic, a secluded little niche. I had a hand full of glass I had collected, we were collecting it, and was like "Hey, check this out...".. she comes over, I open my hand with the glass, and in the glass is a ring. She looks at my hand and is like "oh...wher...? oh...OH!" yeah.. then I ask her with the proper words...She said yes.. there was some hugging, kissing, and some tears from her.

We stayed at a Bed & Breakfast that night, went to an Awesome Sushi place, and hung out at an upscale bar for a time.

There was some good love makin that nice...

Today we went to the Botanical Gardens, and drove home. There was more details.. but yeah... I'm Engaged! We get married in a year.

Yes, I already knew that. Chrimigules, who has Russian ancestry, explained this to me once, what seems like a very, very, very long time ago. (Did I mention that it seems like a very long time ago?) Also, CJ, you're answering a question that I directed jokingly at Erik. Of course if Erik wants to use the marriage as a pretext for more annexations, well, wouldn't that be something. It's usually all just family at weddings. People not related by blood are always in the big minority and could be counted on one hand. Kind of why I stopped being all that interested when my friends were having their weddings.

Perhaps it's better not to do that. You have to pay all your attention to your beloved bride, and fooling around with a webcam (which never works when you need it) can only ruin the special day (or at least, give you a headache before you even got some alcohol).
