A petition

Post by Elliot Markham »

Dear Kaiser,

While ready to quit micro-nationalism, with one foot already out the door, I received a response to my inquiry about possibly immigrating to Batavia, a member of the Small Commonwealth, and a SCUE treaty member nation. I just agreed to become a Batavian citizen. As a result, I would like to ask whether it might be within your benevolences to transfer the the money in my previous bank account, Vasroe, to a new account entitled Elliot Markham within the Batavia section of the Small Commonwealth bank.

Sincerely,

Elliot Markham
Citizen of Batavia

I'm not a bank administrator. The two people who are, Erik and Andreas, are both on leave of absence for a week or so. When they get back, I'll ask them to take care of this if they don't see this themselves (you might want to post your request in the Ministry of Trade).

If you can't wait a week without money, I could advance you an interest-free loan until they get back.

I'm glad you've found a country that works for you (you speak Dutch?) and hope it means you'll stay around. Also, apologies for Shireroth's involvement in Operation Light Blue Octopus, which my advisors have reminded me was morally questionable and which I regret Shirerithian participation in.

Batavia is busy with annexing Ravaria, a small micronation, as a protectorate. That gives Anglophone people the opportunity to be active in Batavia. :)
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

You thought it was hilarious, which it was. If Elliot wasn't such a paranoid moron, it wouldn't have been.

It was hilarious, which is why I didn't notice it was morally questionable until some people reminded me.

Scott, you shouldn't listen to those voices whispering in your head so much. Stay Strong!

Your Excellency, your Minister of Trade , Andreas, had earlier advised me to petition you about this matter. (See http://shireroth.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=13521 .) In the meantime, a loan will probably not be necessary. As soon as possible, however, I would like to have the account transferred.

I thank you also for your kind, apologetic words regarding Shireroth's participation in the Kezan Affair/Operation Light Blue Octopus. Hopefully, now Shireroth will stick to psy ops that target other micro-nations, not a single individual. :)

You know.... you could just log into your account and move the money yourself. Or we can change the country that your account is registered to. I won't be able to get to it till sunday at soonest.
