Decree II: Feudal Redistribution

By my hand, as the Duke of Yardistan, and His Niftyness, the Kaiser, I do decree the following:

Feudal Redistribution of Yardistan

1. The feudal structure of Yardistan will be hereby redistributed on a level that is more geographically appropriate and will suit future development plans currently in the process of being written.

2. The feudal hierarchy will now look like this:

Note: In regards to the United Isles and the numerous islets off the coast, the map may be inaccurate in representing political boundaries between Brookshire and Yardistan. No up-to-date maps of such boundaries could be found. This will, however, be rectified in future versions of the map.

Why not say that the county containing the the islands of Naudia'Diva is the County of Naudia'Sara. That way you keep both names, and you don't risk awakening the angry ghost of Fax Celestis.

I can't say I support renaming all those places with "sara"... it's bad enough the name started in Star Craft (Mar Sara was a colony overrun by zerg. Blame Hubert).. but do we have to bulldoze are past? Goldshire's been doing it enough for all.

But Yes, Benacia is Brookshire's.

And you just renamed 3 of the oldest Shireroth holdings... Florencia has had that name since it was an independent nation under CinC Patrick... Naudia'Diva should not be renamed. You're just deleting history for Starcraft names.

If you had bothered to read the note at the bottom of the decree, it clearly states that some of the map and distribution is not accurate due to insufficient data and is subject to revision and correction. I will update things accordingly.

Given the lack of relative interest in Yardistan over the past few months, it seems rather silly that such a fuss is being made over old names. Did you consider the historical importance of Lac Glacei when you decided to eliminate all of its land?

The naming of the counties is just that A NAMING OF COUNTIES. It does not pertain to the actual names of the islands. Thus Florin Sara is still Florencia. I know full well the history of Florencia - I was one of its original citizens. And it wasn't Patrick's, it was Caesar Augustus' nation. I have every intention of not only preserving its culture, but patronizing it with as much material as I can. I've been spending hours digging through the old eZBoards and my archives pulling out all the material I can find on these old lands. The old will be kept and embraced by the new.

The renaming of the island counties to names inclusive of "Sara" has nothing to do with Starcraft. It has to do with a large overarching cultural project I'm working on. But rather than let me develop it and present it nicely, you have to jump the gun and start yelling about history. Past history will be properly preserved - of this you should be well aware if you had any inkling of my character at all.

In regards to Naudia'Diva, given its importance as a holy site, I will rescind the renaming of it. I am not inflexible to compromise. So don't make a stink about something until you've first stated your concern.
