Hurray for Spambot Evolution.

KILL KILLL KILL KILL!
(spambots, that is)

I've been deleting about three spambot posts a day. I hope Ari has some plan for stopping this, or we may have to come up with some overly restrictive plan where new accounts can only post in MiniImNat or something fascist like that.

That would suck indeed, but human review might be the only way to stop the plague.

Or why not have non-immigrated citizens' (diplomats excluded) posts go into a moderation queue wherever they post?

Somebody would have to moderate. There will be times when no one is available to do so for days/hours.

The chilling effect may be worse than the 'bots.

No, I mean the moderator of whatever forum they post in. So if they post in Araxion, me. If they post in Illumination, you.

Ditto.

*sigh* And here I was hoping some fellow Shins fan had started a thread about One by One All Day

Though installing it seems to have messed up the visual registration thing (and I can't get it back and so had to turn it off), the anti-bot question on Novatainia seems to have stopped 100% of spam.

Weird. Those bots are more active these days. The same in Batavia.
