Malarbor says: More news than you can shake an evil stick at

Post by Ari Rahikkala »

Greg's grandmother is dead. Wish the best for the family and him! MALARBOR DEMANDS IT!

In news we are much more pleased to hear, Shyriath has returned, sailing in on a Sundersprite ship. Aside making cultural contributions, he has already managed to buy the position of Dutch of Kildare, and is expected to generally increase the awesomeness level of the nation by several units in your favourite awesomeness meic.

Allot, a reasonably new citizen, has aired his disapproval about the lack of Malarbor updates. I agree! To protest the trend of newsworthy things piling up until either these announcements become huge or you have to pare down things like interesting discussions or cultural work, the rest of this newspost will be delivered in TinyText (R):

Fill out Andreas's economic census! MALARBOR DEMANDS IT!

New winds are blowing in the SCIRA world: Andreas is laying out various changes transforming the system from one where any member may be attacked at any time, into a more traditional one with discrete recwars, and accommodating for more different kinds of magical forces. In the same thread he is proposing a system of training and upgrading units, and elsewhere he's advocating for larger armies for less money. In Malarbor's mind, larger armies make larger BO0O/\/\s, therefore, they are better! ACCEPT THE NEW SCIRA CHANGES! MALARBOR DEMANDS IT!

With the removal of voting credits, the idea of a unified currency for the Small Commonwealth has been returned to the table. The discussion is boring and pointless and will only lead to pain, and the participants in it should feel bad. DON'T CLICK ON THAT LINK! MALARBOR DEMANDS IT!

The recently envisioned South End Business District might be an illusion after all; Its existence was recently called into question when everybody realised that it should probably just be a part of the Shirekeep City Center. Look forward to the huge spires of the SMEX to be erected next to the Mattlore Devious center soon! CONSUME GOODS AND SERVICES! MALARBOR DEMANDS IT!

Is Shireroth really a democracy after all? Harvey seems to think so: Apparently, kicking people out of their positions for not having pleased their citizens makes us democratic now. DISCUSS THE FUNDAMENTAL NATURE OF OUR GOVERNMENT! MALARBOR DEMANDS IT!

All sorts of cultural stuff is taking place in Kildare. Austi has been busy training sailors and medieval fighters, and archaeologising - you can find most of this work organised by topic in the Hallucigrad library. A tribe of foxpeople has settled in Lesser Attera, and a new patriotic song has been occupying the throats of many inhabitants. APPRECIATE KILDARIAN CULTURE! MALARBOR DEMANDS IT!

Not to worry, though - at least Kildarian culture is normal. While other duchies might be arcane or incomprehensible at times, Straylight takes the cake and does unmentionable things to it in the weirdness department. Meanwhile, if you haven't read it yet, Hyperborea has yet another awesome if suspiciously rambling tale for you to read. APPRECIATE SHIRITHIAN CULTURE NO MATTER WHICH DUCHY IT IS FROM! MALARBOR DEMANDS IT!

The taxman cometh again, and he wears a new, snazzier cloak. Now that wealth has become private and amassing money in your duchy won't buy you power anymore, progressive personal taxes rather than flat per-duchy taxes are expected to become the norm soon enough. In tangential resemblance, PARTICIPATE IN YET ANOTHER DISCUSSION ABOUT MICRONATIONAL ECONOMY! MALARBOR DEMANDS IT!

Guilds are being reintroduced in a bill that's set to pass the Landsraad easily. A place has already been found for programmers, and others ideas have been floated already, too. START A GUILD OF MALARBOR UPDATERS (AND CALL IT "GUILD OF THE SLAVES OF THE TREE" OR SOMETHING)! MALARBOR DEMANDS IT BECAUSE IT WOULD BE GOOD TO HAVE MORE REGULAR UPDATES, NOT TO MENTION SOME WRITERS WITH MORE WIT THAN JUST ADDING "MALARBOR DEMANDS IT" TO THE END OF EVERY PARAGRAPH!

The tiny text part in normal size, for the lazy:
