A Joke

Post by Jacobus Loki »

Q- How many Cyberians does it take to change a light bulb?

A- None! They argue about it for years, and then decide to sit in the dark.

That's a joke, I say, that's a joke, son!

Sounds like a sad joke on them. I really feel for you in that situation.

Oh, yes, I just noticed--wasn't that Foghorn Leghorn (the cartoon chicken)'s line?

Jacobus--

So that's where the chicken came from! I had never heard of Senator Claghorn. The Fred Allen Show ended the year I was born, so I wouldn't have heard it. Thanks for the history lesson.

Ca ne fait rien.

My pleasure.

There are some that say that there has been no new real joke written since the Roman Empire.

They're just dressed up differently, that's all. The human condition remains the same, so the jokes just need to have local and topical flourishes.
