Re: Taking The Throne
The first thing you do, Loki, when you "assumed" "Kaisership" was to threaten anyone who didn't agree with you to be labelled traitors. Things here in Shireroth are not about threats, traitors or the like. We share a community here, we're a nation of different views, of different cultures. But we are still Shirerithian. By threatening to have your own way, I am saddened by that. It's not right.
Jayatar, or Hesam, has done a lot of work. He has revived Babkha from being a ridiculed place of memories to a vibrant empire of many people, of great cultural advancement and progression. He has in Hyperborea begun a story I am not alone to be fascinated by. He is a Shirerithian, just like you, just like me.
I know Hesam. He is a friend of mine. I know what he has done. And I hardly know you. Even if you have been cleansed from your past, I will support Hesam as Kaiser of Shireroth.
Hesam has vowed to lead this empire, and I will stand behind him.

Re: Taking The Throne
Thank you Ric,
I would also like to say I've committed to this fully. I've just renounced my Babkhan citizenship so that I can do this properly. Shireroth is a very important contemporary and historical micronation in this Sector. It's the heir of Apollo, it has achieved great initiatives which are now standard in the hobby including the Shirewiki. I wish to see that type of development continue, and I believe I am best qualified to do so.

I'm inclined to back Kaiser Jayatar as well. I'm sorry Jacobus, but what you're doing is elitist and coercive. COERCION IS MY FIELD OF WORK!

Re: Taking The Throne
Andreas the Wise, Melangia (Kildare), pm.
I've given it a great deal of thought, and must admit over the last few days I've wavered considerably in my true support, and how seriously I took statements by the claimants. I've considered Hesam's cool-headed diplomacy (though I still don't approve of all the dealings with Ocia), Jacobus' unrelenting support for Shireroth, the Babkhan question, Lac-Glacei and my relationship to it, Stewardship, and, of course, history.
And the offers each has given me.
And I've resolved to support Jayatar. I'll admit, I've had my doubts about your impartiality, Jayatar, but given you've revoked your Babkhan citizenship (at least for your reign here), I'll throw my full support behind you. All I ask is that you honour your words to think about Shireroth first and foremost, and not allow this to become an extension of Babkhan-Foreign-Policy. I know we're good friends with Babkha and we'll do some things together but ... yeah. I trust you're a mature enough micronationalist to do that.
Jacobus, as I've said to you in private, I'm sure you could do a good job as Kaiser. But you've had your turn as steward, so I'm going to support Hesam having his go. You'll no doubt ascend to the throne soon after, but I think it'll be good for Shireroth to have a slightly different direction for a while, as we seem to have fallen into a lull ...
So, his Eminence, signing on. The Gods support thee, Jayatar ...

Re: Taking The Throne
Thank you Andreas,
I've had my time in Babkha, I was able to achieve what I came back to do. But once everything was completed, I was without purpose. Now, Babkha has a new extensively long Constitution, a working economy, a working legislature, its independence from the Grand Commonwealth, Its continent back, an experiment with a virtual community and a number of other initiatives. I cannot and will not claim responsibility for all of these, but I had a hand in each of them. Now that these things are done, I have to find new problems to solve. Shireroth (a nation I've respected for 7 years) had a resurgence for a solid 6 months, but was faltering again. I have some initiative I'm working on to ensure this becomes less of an issue. I can't promise immortality for the nation, but I can promise to keep it as successful and vibrant as I can.
I realize many people are concerned about a conflict of interest with my Babkhan history. I would like to remind everyone that Shireroth has shared many valuable citizens with babkha over the years. Rakesh, Ric, Ryan, Troy, Jadie, Ardashir all held citizenship in both nations and have contributed greatly in both cases. To be clear, the extent of my Babkhan involvement in Shireroth will be limited to diplomatic ties and the sharing of ideas for prosperity. I will respect the traditions of Shireroth.
Further, should I be chosen, I would be happy to have Jacobus act as Steward again. He is most qualified and certainly is due to be the next Kaiser after my reign.

^ This man is a thoroughly good sort. Let those of us who are impetuous and impatient enough to still find fault with his being the new Kaiser plead at least through the official channels rather than fill up this thread with their monotonous rantings.
Long live Kaiser Jayatar I! Long live his official contractor of Middle English rhetoric, Maksym Matbaiovich Hadjimehmetov! Long live Tony Soprano!

He's traveling and lost a lengthy post or two to a bad connection. Give him time to acquire a proper internet connect. I'm sure he has an equally impressive speech yet to come.

Ha! After he smites His Niftiness Jatayar I for misguided loyalty for formerly being a Babkhan citizen?
Real Kaisers, my friends, I mean real good Kaisers post their speeches on the go from their pocket palms. That's right. Or they go to an internet café during their free time. Or... and this is the créme de la créme of dedication... they skip work altogether.

Well the simple solution would be Noble Tithes, Ofcourse I hear Hubbard did well with Om Meters repackaged as soul detectors. Perhaps Shireroth could market a product like "Sapling of the True Malarbor".
