Well, as a fervent traditionalist, I believe in restoring as many traditions as we can. I have been loth to raise this, but deep in my background, I am descended from Kaiser Loki I, and matrilinially from an illegitimate daughter of Kaiser James VI.

I do not formally claim the Throne at this time. There are lines of descent senior to mine, but I shan't stand aside for any lesser line.

Good reasons for my Kaisership-

I have added greatly to the claims of the Imperial Republic.
I have experience making proclamations and decrees.
I can assume a slightly-crazed Imperial attitude at will.

I won a FNORD. (I know that doesn't mean an awful lot in the Search for Kaiserness, but I just found out about it, and wanted to brag somewhere about it.)
The Idea of Kaiser James VII/Loki II would frighten certain potential adversaries of the Imperial Republic, and severely annoy others.

Oh, and the Dirigibles you hear in the air, the battleship Kaiser Mors V taking gunnery practice in the distance........Don't be concerned about any of that, they are there for your protection............

His responsibilities would require him to provide his blessing to ALL decrees for them to be made legitimate with the exception of Imperial decrees which would be warranted under advisement of Andreas' most holy office.

I believe a severed goats head on wheels, stuffed with snuff is an excellent symbol of my legitimacy to the throne. In fact, once His Eminence, Andreas accepts his position, I will have to offer sacrifices in petition to him to proclaim "The Order Of The Snuff Mull". The symbol to be the standard under which Shireroth shall march its polar bear cavalry across Micras to claim the lands we are rightfully due. As Kaiser I may not offer Californian liberal sensibility, but I will offer entertainment.

Having given it some thought, and since Penisberg was too foolish to instantly name me steward, I've decided to throw my lot in with Hesam. Sakat has looked through the histories and Sakat has seen that Hesam speaks with more wisdom than most. Shireroth has indeed had many civil wars, and has become too friendly now, by half. A civil war is coming. Malarbor demands it! History demands it! And now - Sakat demands it!

(besides, the only thing I have to lose is the possibility of an attempt to reclaim Lac Glacei, and as spiritual lord of the realm, I can advise against that! I even have a good answer, from Jasonian history ...)
