The Shirerothian Last Supper

Post by Yvain Wintersong »

I'm bored, so here's a contest for everyone. Winner gets a map of his or her subdivision in the style of my Syrelwynn map, or some other prize if he or she'd prefer.

The contest is: Look at the picture of the Shirerothian Last Supper below and name as many people as you can (post your answers below). Winner is whoever gets the most right. There's also one foreigner ("One of you will betray me") - someone who doesn't post in Shireroth but who's very well known in another forum I lurk at, Micronations.net. Identify the foreigner correctly and you get a bonus point. I'll also give bonus points for interesting or amusing explanations of your choices.

Quick question - how do you get those little dudes? What program/internet phenomenon creates these little caricatures?

Also, anyone who doesn't immediately see which one I am should be wary to tread into Straylightian territory, you might just get garbage collected :p

Judging by the looks of him, I'd say the one to the right of Kaiser Mors (right from our perspective on the picture) is probably your little dude. :thumbsup

Lol- I would add a tektek avatar (and I've already made one), but unfortunately I much prefer my little Turkish military leader dude instead. Much more... autocratic-looking.
I don't think we need to guess which one is the Khan! ;)

Of the disappointingly few people who participated, Ari got the most people. The answers were, from left to right:

1. Jess of Amokolia. This is his avatar, only without the crown (so people didn't mistake him for the Kaiser)
2. Harald of Stormark. It's a Viking, who else could it be!
3. Andelarion of Elwynn. I think I screwed this one up pretty badly, but all I knew about him was that he was Swedish and seems to be into peaceful nature stuff. So I gave him blonde hair and made him look like an elf :/
4. The Khan. Looks like his old avatar.
5. Ari. Looks like the picture of him in Straylight, and that's a lambda on his shirt, because he's good with computers.
6. The Kaiser. He's got the crown, the picture of him on the site had sunglasses, and if you know the real Last Supper, he's standing where Jesus should be.
7. Maksym. Looks like the avatar.
8. Me. You don't know what I look like, but I am holding the paintbrush I'm using to draw the scene.
9. Prodigy Almighty. In his first post he said he was a bear/cyborg cross.
10. Jacobus. I also screwed this one up. He said he was old, so I gave him grey hair, and he's Yardistani, so I gave him a grenade, but people's guesses were all over the place here.
11. The foreigner is Ben Gray. You were SUPPOSED to notice that he was literally gray, but I guess some people didn't make the connection.

Ari, if you want it I'll make you a map of Straylight, or whatever else you prefer.

And Ari, while I have your attention, when you have some free time, could you add spoiler tags to this forum? You know, you write (spoiler)Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father(/spoiler) and it shows up as a button ("click here for spoilers!") and then expands into the text after you press the button?

Oooooohh... by the way he's actually grey, not gray. :P

Whaaaat? That was supposed to be me? Jeez, I'm not the bear hybrid! My soldiers are! The CHELKRAN! :D

And I still have my original head intact, the rest of my is mechanical, but I guess I didn't mention that so that's my fault...

That's a picture of me, yes. ^_^ I've been instating the avatar on various other boards, so I figured I might as well wear it here, too, in particular to break the Gaia avatar trend. It's actually a few years old (though I don't look different now, except I have glasses), and I made it as an avatar for a vampi- ... hmm, I'm babbling.

Anyway, thank you very much. ^_^

Yes, well, according to Wikipedia "gray" is the proper spelling in the United States. So today let's all be Americans, or else the pun won't work properly.
Maksym wrote:Sooo... did someone get who the foreigner was before me? Or am I owned a map of K'Tzuni, biatch?
Let's see. You did get one point, plus the one bonus point. But you also didn't guess anyone else. That gives you a grand total of...

*Yvain counts*
*Yvain does some calculations*
*Yvain writes a quick little script to do some of the number-crunching for him*
*Yvain applies for a grant from the Ministry of Research and Education to pursue some of the higher mathematics needed to compute the answer effectively.*

Ah, there we go. Two points. So I'm afraid Ari's still the winner.

btw, a lot of us Yanks have not relinquished our use of the word "grey," or "syrup." We refuse to change to the expected "gray" and "sirup," though I think "sirup" has since lost favor. Not all changes are improvements.

How can you tell without seeing my guesses? :p
From left to right, mixing up obvious and easy ones with pure guesses and random choices, and in fact with the entire continuum in between...

- Jess, for avatar
- Harald, obvious per vikingness
- Carol, because she used to have a Gaialike avatar that looks a lot like anything but that but hey, at least it's feminine
- Ardashir, for that mad red-eye glow
- Ari - if I could give *you* points for accuracy of depiction, you'd get ten for this one
- Erik, obvious per crown
- Maksym, obvious per avatar
- Yvain, because you're the only one who's been doing visual art lately
- Prodigy, because he's the bear cyborg... or he at least commands some, I'm still actually not quite clear on whether *he* is one
- Liam Sinclair, because he pretends not to be Atteran but everyone can see his military equipment
- Jacobus, because nobody still really knows what to think about him, and because he plays a Starfleet captain
No-one should be without a parasol, Sirocco.

Very impressive, Yvain ...
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy

And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).
