Information, please!
A young man walks up to the desk, takes a form from the cabinet, fills it out, and hands it to the ministry official. The ministry official shakes her head, the young man curses briefly, and then he returns to the cabinet and fills out a different form. By the time he finishes, the official is on a coffee break. He shakes his head and leaves it on her desk, along with the following handwritten note:
I'm looking for some information on fictional history. I'm soon to be promoted to Count of Syrelwynn and I'd like to know more about its past. I read through some of the SSHIT in the archives, and I read the Goldshire wiki entry, and I've gotten all confused. In particular,
- was Goldshire conquered by Kaiser Raynor I or Kaiser Nicholas II?
- is Goldshire Hamlet the area's old capital or a city created by the Kaisers?
- are either of those histories canon? Does Shireroth have a canon?
- did Kaiser Raynor I or Kaiser Daniel II create the Ducal system?
I'm sure the minister is very busy, but if possible I would also like to know,
- is the city of Demonsfall connected to the Rrakyachan demon who used to live in Goldshire or is it another demon?
- is the demon's sword of fire the same one that was in the Khaz Modan Empire? If so, how did the demon get it?
- can I tie my province's fictional history into this story?
- the wiki article on Rrakyachan says no one knows whether it was Kaiser Raynor I or another Kaiser who killed him. If I write a story that includes the demon, can I say who it is, or is the uncertainty canon?

Who is the minister of Information? Ari?
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

Re: Information, please!
That's Erik, as being Kaiser he handles the jobs of ministries we don't have ministers for... and defining the canon of the Shirithian fictional history is basically up to him anyway.

Re: Information, please!
Let's see what I can do...
- was Goldshire conquered by Kaiser Raynor I or Kaiser Nicholas II?
Raynor I
- is Goldshire Hamlet the area's old capital or a city created by the Kaisers?
Old capital, and if it lives again will be again..
- are either of those histories canon? Does Shireroth have a canon?
See SSHIT writings. But I'll say yes.
- did Kaiser Raynor I or Kaiser Daniel II create the Ducal system?
I'll say Raynor I. But it proly went through lots of changes..
I'm sure the minister is very busy, but if possible I would also like to know,
- is the city of Demonsfall connected to the Rrakyachan demon who used to live in Goldshire or is it another demon?
Sure?
- is the demon's sword of fire the same one that was in the Khaz Modan Empire? If so, how did the demon get it?
Yes, and.. that's a mystery... But the Emperors lost it long before the empire fell.. somehow...
- can I tie my province's fictional history into this story?
sure...
- the wiki article on Rrakyachan says no one knows whether it was Kaiser Raynor I or another Kaiser who killed him. If I write a story that includes the demon, can I say who it is, or is the uncertainty canon?
Say it was Raynor I.

Mortis Mercator V,
Kaiser of Shireroth
Duke of Brookshire
Count of Monty Crisco
Re: Information, please!
If I may add some supplemental info and.or speculation based on my SSHIT work...
In the beginning, the Kaisers probably ruled them both fairly directly, with the capital at Shirekeep as more of a neutral place of residence; but over time, as Shireroth grew and the burdens of ruling it all directly became too heavy for the Kaiser, rule of the Duchies may have been granted to noble families or members of Imperial Lines to rule with a bit more autonomy. Then the Imperial Government could have started to build up at Shirekeep to help the Kaiser oversee the Dukes.
The Ducal system has its most ancient origins in the minor polities of pre-Shirerithian history, mostly client states of the Khaz Modanian Empire, but the Shirerithian Ducal system does in large part stem from Raynor I. He forged Shireroth by uniting the old duchies of Brookshire and Goldshire under one crown; but he kept them as separate administrative units. So as Kaiser, he was Duke of Brookshire and also Duke of Goldshire.- did Kaiser Raynor I or Kaiser Daniel II create the Ducal system?

Local legend claims that Demonsfall lies not far from the cave where Kaiser Raynor I took up the Sword of Vengeance and, before the Gates of Balgurd, subdued the dread demon Rrakanychan.- is the city of Demonsfall connected to the Rrakyachan demon who used to live in Goldshire or is it another demon?
Sure?

Question: Raynor Isles. Connection to Raynor? If so, how so?
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:

Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy
And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

Re: Information, please!
No idea. I'm guessing the fact that that body of water they reside in is called the Raynor Sea (and that's a Shirerithian name ergo its not a bad name for some Shirerithian islands).
