Hello from Antica

Post by Braden Indianensis »

Would any of you be interested in a recwar? You see, Antica would like to acquire the island of Melangia, and while we could negotiate, that's not nearly as much fun as a recwar, I think you'll agree. Antica will be fielding three units, under three commanders, so we request that Shireroth do the same; and of course, we'd like to confine the fighting to just the one island. Also, no nukes, if you please; and (no offense) no sorcery or magical creatures. Any takers?

How about Shireroth gets Elves and Unicorns (Men-at-Arms and Knights if Scott is in the room) and Antica gets Steven? I'd say that's fair.

Haha. But seriously, is no one but Ben interested in this? It'd be fun.

Perhaps YOU can lead the forces at Melangia, Benkern.

Me? I'm not a citizen. There are many active Shirerithians about, such as the Kaiser - they just haven't seen this thread yet. Although if necessary, my near-Honourary Citizenship demands that I defend Shireroth from the Imperialistic Invaders! :evil

Although to be honest, requests for some kind of participation in RecWar have been thick and fast (well, relative to late last year and early this year say) in recent months, and none have been taken up. I think Shireroth doesn't seem to "do" RecWar these days. However, given the fact that this is Antica and the history between the two nations dictates war must be waged at least once a year, there might be a change here.

Well, it would be nice if we could have someone defend it, even half-heartedly. Actually, half-heartedly wouldn't be too bad at all.

In the spirit of the Mango and Camel the Kingdom of Babkha would be willing to offer every assistance to the Imperial Republic of Shireroth if this incident were indeed to arise.

No elves, no nukes, no socery?

I think I could find Admiral Quirk and the Improvise.
He didn't say anything about 'no phasers'.

Egad, we're siding with the Babkahn.....

A recwar! :)

NO! I'M FOR PEACE!

But I must try it once in my life...

NO! NO! SHUT UP! :angry

But...

NO!

I will think about it. But it's our Kaiser his decission that counts ;)
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

The Antican misunderstands - the Babkhan offer is to contribute an officer and suitable body of men in accordance with the terms outlined to the Shirerithian defence.

At the moment, it seems as though there will be no actual Shirerithian participation nor recognition of activities. Still willing to have a fight for a laugh, everybody?
