Sorry for the absence. Things have been crazy the last few weeks, and before that there really wasn't any activity or anything to speak of. No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, nor have I abandoned hope for Shireroth.
I have no problem handing the throne over to someone else at this point. I have been Kaiseress for about 4 months now, which was quite enough, and only because I was honestly not sure who to choose as my successor. That problem seems to be solved now. I will be abdicating in a day or two, most likely to Erik. I will also be starting a (formal) Praetor election immediately.
I am very pleased to see that we are making progress on restoring our records and that our activity is back up a bit. Do we actually have someone with full admin now, with the ability to name other people admins as well? That seems to have been our main obstacle to getting many things done around the forums, and it would be great if that's resolved now.

As a foreign observer, it definately seems to me that Shireroth is on the up. Pin it to whatever you will, the facts are all there; activity is higher these days than it has been all this year (from my memory though, I may well have missed some failed resurrection attempt that generated a little activity). This activity may, of course, flop at any minute, but I reckon this may develop into something more lasting (famous last words :P). Perhaps you haven't been around in the last few weeks to see those changes, but I hope that you will stay in Shireroth to see the affects of those changes, in the position of Kaiseress or, if you'd prefer, a Noble.

Activity was way up near the beginning of my reign, but it really fizzled when we lacked any admins with powers and discovered problems with the wiki and couldn't fix them. I'm very glad to see that Erik is back and fixing stuff with the power of full admin.
