Activity in this nation has sunk to a very low level. The complacent observer might attribute this solely to the phenomenon we know as the "summer slump;" and while I do not deny that this has caused part of the problem, one cannot help but notice our ally, the Republic of Antica, whose activity has not sufferednearly as badly as ours has.

Perhaps Antica is a more dynamic nation, Perhaps Shireroth has grown creaky with old age. Whatever the case, change is needed.

Our Kaiser has been asbent from these boards for fifteen days. Perhaps he is working on a project. Perhaps he is ill or otherwise occupied. He is an excellent fellow, but times, they are a-changin'.

And so, by this instrument, I do hereby declare myself (I hope, with the blessings of you all, and without resentment from any, though I know this may be an unrealistic hope) the Kaiser of Shireroth, and do take the name Nicodemus I.

I tried talking to Bill the other day about his absence when he was on AIM. He said he didn't want to talk about it. Because not only is he failing in his duties here, he's also letting me down on commitments he made to the MCS. Granted, I am not the epitome of activity, but I'm not running away either.

You're PART of the old guard. You're, like, one of the oldest micronationalists.

As for Bill, I can kinda understand his abscence - admit it, none of us here really have the drive to help carry Shireroth alone, at least in the condition it's in now - the inactivity until Baldwin took over is proof of that.

I know that if I was Kaiser I'd be worried as hell about being the one who was blamed for the downfall of Shireroth. So I don't think we should be too hard on him - you would've done the same, or something similar, if you had this mess of a nation to deal with.

I meant that as a blanket statement. *most* of the old guard is gone. We only putter around here and there. I might be the exception, Eriana too, or Ryan. Except for us, the rest only appear sometimes. It's true, and everyone knows it. It's their time to shine now.

As for the blaming of Bill, I *never* blamed him! Ever! Do we have to fight?!

And I know I'm part of the lod gard... Looking around there are VERY few people still here from when I started. My point is I'm not going away and I'm not sure I'm reddy to give up on the Shireroth I once knew. Ganted if I have to I'll just moove to Lumanetra but I'd rather not it tends to be rether lonely there....

Just a note from the Lemurian Triumvirate that Lemuria recognises the new Kaiser of the Imperial Republic of Shireroth.

I also found out that our Lord of Diplomacy, Kuralyov, went missing before he decreed the treaty he negotiated between our two nations. I have taken the liberty of decreeing it now. Let's say it was "informally" in effect prior to this ;-)
