Followed by a female voice coughing and hacking and complaining in a cogney accent (why ya alwaiys got te blast an smoke awl te time when ye git some-whe) a male voice replies, (well stay here and catch your breath and remember to wear that gas mask i gave you next time. and dont scare the locals, some of them dont know what a jabberwocky is.... so keep quite, please?) The cogney female replies (fine wot. ye owe me some tartey tarts).. (yeah yeah....) the male voice comes closer..

and In to Baldwin's Office comes a large H47! with Baron h4773r 3lfs0n underneath it (as he so often is) He bows deeply to Insane/Evil Genius and holds out his hand for a shake*

OH! I thought you said "pretty and interesting," not "pretty interesting." In which case I would have to point out that our nation's fourth line of defense is the sheer ugliness of our forum background (we have that instead of a National Guard.) Anyway, it's not hard to make friends and climb the Ladder of Power, here. I've been here under six full months, and I'm already Minister of Immigration, Naturalization, and Tourism, as well as Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.

Welcome to Shireroth! You will become the count of a county, and can put together your own culture and activities. If they are interesting, other people will join in and help you keep things going. Be sure to check out all the duchies and their baronies, and find one that seems to fit your personality or interests. Then you will have others in your geographic area with whom you will interact on a more-or-less regular basis. I am countess of New Novi Dalmacjia, proprietor of a pirate village/adventure outfitter/training school/store of great wonders, and baroness of the Barony of Lumina's Light, in the Duchy of Kildare. Hypatia Agnesi (Renee) is Duchess, and I am Hypatia's mom.

We hope you like it here. Don't forget to read the different fora to find out what's going on. Post often. And if you read the archives, you will find out what the different baronies and duchies have been doing in the past. This might give you ideas for your own county.

I recommend reading up on our laws, studying our history (both fictional and actual), reading the Imperial Charter (the "Constitution" of Shireroth) in the Wiki, the link to which is at the very top of the page. You may also want to read up o foreign nations and prominent micronationalists.
