Foundation Day Speech

[Kaiser Alejian II]

To all loyal citizens of Shireroth, past and present, and our esteemed guests: Welcome!

Six years ago today, a man with great vision, love, and passion founded a small nation called... Shireroth! His name was Erik Metzler. Little did he (or anyone!) know that what started as a small micronation amongst giants like Jasonia and Tymaria would one day become a giant itself! We should look with pride that we have lasted this long, but never should we forget that the future lies in what is ahead, not what is behind us. Nor should we forget that the future is made by taking risks and making changes.

But what IS the reason Shireroth has lasted so long? Friendship, and the feeling of belonging that we find here. Let us never forget that! Too each and every one of you, I tell you that I am *proud* to call you friend, and I know that whenever anyone asks me what a "Shireroth" is, I can proudly point to one of the few places in this life I can call home.

VIVA LA SHIREROTH!

If anyone would like to add anything, please feel free.

Your Imperial Majesty--

A year ago I was welcomed into Shireroth with open arms and hearts. In this time I have gotten to know a number of its citizens either in the fora or online. I have even had the privilege of meeting about 8 citizens in person. I, for one, am glad Shireroth exists. It provides entertainment, discussions, simulated government and history, and promotes relationships, albeit not usually in person.

Long live Shireroth!! May she ever prosper!!
