But it creates military CULTURE! ;-)
The military "culture" (which, I'd remind you, is pretty much the only thing the military does because it isn't an actual internet warfare military anymore) is the concept of JASO and the like. Our current wars havn't actually applied any technology that was developed in JASO. Using standard military technology makes warfare boring, and as I said before, makes JASO useless.

Bah. CURRENT culture is nothing without history to build on. But I see what you mean. It's a thought.

We could also just let the Shirerithians fight with the pointy sticks and kill them with our AR's and Dinarchial AK-47's.

That worked well in Treesia, actually.

In fact, back in the time of Treesia, the rules of warfare didn't matter. It was meant entirely for fun, and people could have rediculous weaponry and such as long as they would write well.

We don't have Dinarchial AK-47s. We have... uh... Foghorn, what do we have?

Well, letting us fight all anacronistic style - planes, dragons, tanks, magic... I'm thinking... Bill, what war am I thinking of? The big one that I actually fought in a few years back? The one with Babkha, Cranda, Baracao, Menelmacar, Shireroth, Delvenus, Treesia, and a few other nations?

Well, it would have been fine without Archetype. And the beginnings of it were pretty much cool, from what I remember... also the spanning of multiple boards.
