Some Northhold business
Since Sager seems very busy right now, and since Ryan has left the Grand Commonwealth and is now solely a Shirerithian citizen, I would support making him the new Duke of Northhold.
I also think we should absorb what is left of Elwynn, aka Ric.
Is there anyone else here who has any opinion on either of these proposals?

I'd be happy to take the job, seeing as I've got nothing else going on citizenship-wise at the moment.
That and seeing that there's nothing getting done in the duchy either...
EDIT:
I am still waiting for someone to set up a Lac Glacei subforum for me and my fellow Lac Glaceians. Which, when up, I intend to do much work for. And if I am made Duke of Northhold, that would make me a Double-Duke.

I suppose I can do some MiniInt stuff for now, which would make me responsible for a Lac Glacei. Are you sure you wouldn't rather just make Lac Glacei a normal county of Shireroth, stick it in Northhold, and do it that way?
EDIT: Apparently I don't have high enough authorization to create new forums. WTF. Try asking Greg Dean.
PS: Ryan, how is this Sunday for Albany?

I really have a lot of ideas I've been holding in limbo waiting to get the subforums up here for.
If anything, I'd like to do it the opposite and make Northhold a county of Lac Glacei. My main interest here is continuing to flesh out the Bjorngarders folklore as I have time to do so.
And yes, I'm sure I can work it into my schedule for this Sunday to visit Albany. I'll make it work if necessary! Let me know anything you find out or plan ASAP so I can plan accordingly.

I would support Ric for Duke, with two minor conditions.
One, that the vote distribution agreements remain the same. I'm fairly sure they have to, anyhow.
Two, that Northhold remain a Duchy. By "a county of Lac Glacei", what did you mean exactly? Wouild that not require giving up our Duchy-ship and Landsraad influence? Could you please clarify this?
Apart from those issues, my allegiance is yours.

Well first of all, I'm not Ric.
Second, yes, turning Lac Glacei into a duchy would reduce Northhold to a sub-level title (barony?). Lac Glacei has always been a grand duchy, hence my longtime title of Grand Duke. I'd like to keep both those titles intact if possible.
But with John no longer around, that leaves virtually just you [Ophiuchus] and me in Northhold, while there's a good four-five people populating Lac Glacei.

First of all, I'm in Northhold too.
Second of all, the people in Lac Glacei, as far as I know, are not in it in a Shirerithian subdivision way. They're in it in a way completely outside Shireroth's subdivision system. Your Lac Glaceian title of Grand Duke is on a completely different ladder than the title of Duke of Northhold or anything else; otherwise, you would need for all Lac Glaceians to not be citizens of other Shirerithian subdivisions, which I don't think is the case. Your only territory within Shireroth proper that has a right to be involved in the subdivision system is Bjorngard.
So as I see it you have two choices. First, you could petition the Kaiser to rescind Lac Glacei's special status and make it a county under your control, in which case we could work on forming a Duchy out of it. Or you could keep Lac Glacei as a "side project" and work with Northhold out of Bjorngard.

YES WE WANT ELWYNN AND RIC!!!!
Ok, I'll have to think on the Lac Glacei thing. But either way I'm up for running Northhold if I'm wanted for the job. Most likely I'll keep LG as a side project and work simply from Bjorngard.

Gah! Again with the mixing-Ric-and-Ryan thing! Many apologies to both of you.
You working out of Bjornghard would be fine, anyway.
AFAIK, current citizens of Northhold are:
Sir Ophiuchus
John D Sager (Hertug Gordon II)
Eoin Dornan
Scott Alexander
Ryan (Caruso? Sorry, not sure.)
Pretty sure I've forgotten at least one person.
Anyhoo, we may need to reshuffle counties in baronies if you become Duke, for voting reasons, since you're currently in Cromsfist. Unless you wanted to be Duke but not a Baron, which would actually increase our votes by 1, but would require a treaty workover.

I've never been too keen of the whole political system here in Shireroth. More or less I've always gone with the cultural flow.
So long as I can continue to work with Bjorngard, I am up to leading Northhold in whatever direction its people want it to take. Considering I founded both the Cimmerian and Volsaarn cultures, as Duke I can help those who are Counts of those areas to flesh out and work with their respective peoples.
If anything, I would like to see us take the route that Ric took Elwynn down as a cultural stronghold and a virtual renaissance in literary (and possibly graphic) arts.
And yes, the last name is Caruso. Just think of Robinson Crusoe.
