21st Century Stjepan wrote:the problem is that not everyone wields the leather trenchcoat well. They very often pair it with grim looks, and dyed black hair which makes it just look extremely cliche. What they need to go along with it is sunglasses, long natural hair (in a pony tail), and a smile to maximize the "I'm a rock star" aspect rather than the "I'm going to shoot your daughter" aspect.
As Ive said to others.... The Harpsichord is the Trenchcoat of Music.

to explain: you see a trenchcoat/harpsichord standing there (or hanging) and you think..."Ican wear/play that. It is a symbol of badass sexyness. I must have it to wear/solo in my band!"

however. when applicated in the wrong way used by one who does not "get it" let alone match "it" it looks/sounds sad, silly, or an emo trying too hard.

How I wish I had a trenchcoat! All I have is a tan corduroy jacket with suede elbow-patches. May I would be more awesome if I had a harpsichord.

*Picks up randomly-apperaing harpsichord and begins to play.*

Bridled and saddled, so gallant rode he;
Home came his good horse, but never came he.

I don't particularly like trenchoats honestly. Too cliche even when done 'right' to me.
