ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Moose. Stop. You are NOT Kaiser.. there is only one Kaiser.. and only one way to get a Kaiser. If you do not stop now. I will ban you. That.. simple.. the laws of Shireroth will be enforced..
I get swamped with work for one week.. and people try to dethrone me... and I find Bill being the one to enforce the Charter, something really doesn't feel right about that.. But I do thank Bill.
The Kaisership isn't a toy to be played with. Sometimes a well laid plan involving the Kaisership can be used to raise activity, such as with the dethroning of Mog I, but it's still not a toy as you seem to want to treat it Moose.
This... other Kaisership stops... NOW...
If you want to take me out.. fine. I'll be resigning within the week. Greg will be my replacement. I have to much work to deal with this childish stuff right now.
I swear.. I really have outgrown this place...

It's funny because this declaration loses all of it's POW after reading these two quotes:
Besides, Scott's the only one here who seems to be man enough to not bitch about laws and smart enough to realize that Shireroth is democratic enough to admit that the people choosing a Kaiser isn't that far off, so unless everyone else suddenly has a change of heart, I've already done everything I can to stimulate activity.
Maybe if you had been a little more active you might have picked this up before trying to appear like you were cleaning up.Besides. The idea of being Kaiser bores me now that it's being dragged out.

Osmose is always joking and always serious at the same time.
I thought it was all for pretend, and that not one was really trying to get rid of you.
atleast, if I thought that anyone was serios, I would have not have been happy.

Goodness, My Lord Kaiser, if there's anyone you should bitch at or ban, it would be me--I was just as serious (perhaps as disruptive) as Osmose; and if you really hate these fora so much, why don't you resign immediately and rid yourself of them? You obviously dislike them enough not to scan them for important posts such as the one Osmose made, declaring that he was tired of the idea of being Kaiser, a similar one of which was never made by me...so if you're going to be a windbag and ban someone, I bid you look closer at prospective exiles.

Is this how far we've come?
Back in the old days, overthrowing the last Kaiser at random was pretty much how someone got the job. You mention Letifer, but you could have also mentioned Mors I, Los II, or several people from Tymaria. Back in the old days, we laughed off a failed rebellion and high-fived the rebel leaders for a job well done.
Have we gotten so bound to our laws that rebellion is now a cause for banning instead of an unofficial national pasttime? Have we become THAT much like everyone else? And now we're calling people who rebel "childish"? Might as well all start dressing up in suits and replace Boomism with the Presbyterian Church (no offense to any Presbyterians out there).
No, I'm sorry, but I still support Moose, or whoever else thinks that the best way to deal with a complete lack of activity and an absent Kaiser is a random revolt. It's nothing against you, but the day we stop improvising around whatever doesn't work is the day that we become like Morovia, where one guy left and a whole flourishing country fell apart because they couldn't legally replace him or work without him.

Erik, seriously, calming down is in order. At least for many of us (6 if you look at my poll), the rebellion was not going to get rid of you. For most of us, it was some idle fun that is (apparently) traditional. I think it is quite obvious from reading the entirety of Moose's posts that he was not fully serious about trying to be kaiser anyway.
If you are this stressed out and overworked, I fully support making Greg kaiser.

No, little here has ever been achieved through conflict, Shireroth doesn't do well with it. Granted that the Kaisership has occasionally benefitted from a clash of personalities, but if you look at stuff like PAST and the Landsraad Floods that went with it, you have to question whether having a partisan atmosphere like that is of any benefit whatsoever.

My best guess is that it is Eoin. He's too non-cynical to be Nick (the Yardistani), and there's few others from that era that I can think of.
The problem with PAST and the like is that you guys ended it, promoting an (fine, I'll use that other term) ariostocracy of people who agree with the current system rather than allowing people with other viewpoints to have whatever little "say" they already had. A government that is completely filled with people who agree with everything is a dead micronation - I just need to point to the Seventh Republic of Audentior for proof of this. So realistically, strive is very healthy, if risky, for a micronation. However, I am thinking that even if we did have strife, it would not be remotely a risk for the collapse of Shireroth, mostly simply because we do not elect our leader.
As if it is ultimately a good thing? It depends on what you come in for micronations, but ultimately, culture doesn't solve everything in a micronation. You do need politics in a micronation, otherwise it is more akin to a forum-based RPG, not a micronation. As it is we are (despite Scott's movements to have people think otherwise) considered to be the most fantasy-based micronation, which is a result of the interhobbies of the people who are in Shireroth. I don't know of any other micronation in our sector that has forum-based RPGs.
Actually, I'm thinking that it does have plenty of benefit. Strife brings in a ton of activity, and we're still much more stable than Menelmacar is, for example. Arguing is a great way to have a thriving micronation, despite the fact that nobody technically wants it.No, little here has ever been achieved through conflict, Shireroth doesn't do well with it. Very true! Why, if students in a public school would simply stop listening to their teachers, there'd be no way to stop them from doing whatever they pleased. No, it is the bonds of personal loyalty that maintain social order.

Since clarification was asked, Erik is being pathetic. Specifically, a pathetic kaiser. He claimed the thrown, became ill (entirely not his fault) and took a bit of time off to recover from illeness but never bothered coming back (completely his fault) and let the nation fall apart. And he's complaining to everyone else about it? I can only hope that his title is "the Inactive" or "the Absent" or "the Mostly Non-Existant." And it's just so ERIK to try to hold onto something he doesn't want just be because he has it, and to complain that others are screwing everything up when they get tired of his inactivity.
Erik's a decent fellow. He has both knowledge and devotion to the law. He would make an EXCELLENT provost and a great duke. But a Kaiser? No. I don't know why people keep naming him their successor since this pattern repeats itself every time they do. Well, whatever. Your country. The reasons I left are still valid.
