This thead has strayed very far from the topic, but ya know what? it's a good thing. Because the fact that all of the good old tv shows fading away into nothingness and being replaced with these mindless sailor moon mutations just makes me wanna grab my katana and commit genocide...to all the chipmunks in the world! Oh yeah, and maybe i'll kill the producers of these shitty shows too, but the chipmunks have to go first.
Whatever happened to fans of the classics? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? DuckTales? Thunder Cats? Scooby Doo?

Noooooo.... We gotta live with frickin dumb blondes going "OMG! I sooo like messed up my hair fighting those evil space monster people!"
This fucking guy is making me feel old because i remember all that. You fuking kids today are all concerned with your full metal alchemist...and your yu-gi-oh, or some shit like that. I cant even spell it!

I say we get rid of every damn cartoon show out there and start all over again. What say you Shireroth? Im gonna go and write the petition right now.

Agreed.

And include a clause to resurrect the Mario Show.

Someone should remake the Super Mario Bros. movie and actually follow the game storyline this time around.

I kinda liked the other one, but a) it didn't follow the storyline even REMOTELY and b) Mario is the hero dammit, not Luigi! Yoshi and the Mushroom King were cool though...

As far as I know, Japanese schoolgirls all have short pink hair and bright blue eyes, and all seem to wear sailor-suits and white undergarments...God this is obscene! We all deserve to be whipped by Eastern Orthodox nuns.
*Mmmmmmm....kinky!* (*Considers declaring Ryvenna one of the Maiar, so that she may be venerated in the Temple of Eru*)

WHAT??? BLASPHEMY!!!
{Hits self across face}

MeanBean, I LIKE Fullmetal Alchemist! I don't get most of it, but it's still a good show! And what about Inuyasha? And even DBZ?! It has horribly-stiff dialogue, and, absurdly, everyone's pants are flame-retardant, but nobody's shirts are! But still decent!

Of course, the thing about anime is: if you don't see the first episode, you aren't--most likely-- going to get it. (The exception is Inuyasha--I understood that show, and I didn't see the first episode until some time after I started watching.) For example, the other night, I was watching Ghost in the Shell on [adult swim], having never seen it before in my life, and do you know what that show's about? ROBOT WHORES, that's what! Disgusting. All of these anime writers need to be beaten by highly-kinky Eastern Orthodox nuns.

Dude, Full metal alchemist is just fucking nuts. it's an ok show, (they all are if you fucking understand them) but the concept of the guy's little brother being a hollowed out robot or something is just kind of nutty.

And DBZ? DBZ is the Japanese answer to the Soap Channel. Nothing but absurd plot twists and drama, betrayal, and utter bullshit. And not to mention Dragon's Balls....

I believe it's still shown on Toon Disney in the ungodly watches of the night, along with Garfield and Friends and Bonkers.

It's really too bad Disney hasn't put any of those shows on DVD collections.

I think Ghost in the Shell has some fairly deep philosophical possiblities, but at the same time it falls into a common weakness: impossible female body structure, even for artificial bodies.

But as one of the juniors watching Get Backers once commented "Hey, if you were 5 feet tall and couldn't speak English properly, you'd draw their breasts that big too!"

Destiny? Destiny?!?!

Let me tell you something about destiny.

"Behold...Excalibur...the Sword of Power...forged when the world was young and bird and beast and flower were one with man and death was but a dream!"

"Ah yes...Lacrime Mundi, the tears of the world."

"We shall grant them...Prima Noctes."

What do these three quotes have to do with destiny, you may ask? Why, nothing whatever!
