Why haven't you been voting in the Landsraad?

Post by Scott of Hyperborea »

As far as I can count, Shireroth has eleven nobles; that is, people of the rank of Baron or higher who may vote in the Landsraad. Of those, three actually chose to vote last week in a series of acts that had been present for a month and were advertised by Malarbor. If you are one of the eight nobles who didn't vote on the bills, can you explain why so as to let the Landsraad know how to fix itself?

To be fair, Hypatia is technically still on leave, and she gave me all of her votes by declaring me Steward, so she technically voted.

Because it is largely irrelevant - all important decisions are made by Imperial Decree. The Landsraad should not so much fix itself as abolish itself.

Do honourary citizens get a voice in the Landsraad, or are we confined to rioting at the front gate?

I didn't vote, but I did give my opinions. By the time I went to vote they had been passed allready.

I actually must say, truth be told, that I could vote again in the Landsraad. Happy Days are Here Again ...

The voting periods in the Landsraad is huge. How could have you not possibly have time to vote?

If your not going to vote, do give it to those who care to be active in their nations law making procedures. Whether that be myself, Iain, or some other Elwynese.

I was one of the people who did vote... But what's wrong with everyone? The Landsraad is important and it should be participated in .

When people say "politics arn't a focus for the nation", they say it for a reason. :/ Something tells me that in the end it is because of laziness.

If our nobles are so lazy to perform evenr most basic functions, then what are they here for? If you're here, wouldn't it make sense to participate?

That is exactly my point. It's not much of a nobility if more than half of the nobility are inactive in their duties.
