No, that's a city in Wales "The longer I live the more I see that I am never wrong about anything, and that all the pains that I have so humbly taken to verify my notions have only wasted my time. " - George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950)

you yourself said Batman was a city in Turkey. The capital of Ottoman Turkey was Constantinople, which was captured from the Latin Empire in 1454. It was later renamed Istanbul. After WWI and the Ottoman Empire fell, the capital was moved to Ankara.Ok, i'll shut up now.... Ryan D. Two things:1. The Turks captured Constantinople in 1453.2. It was the Byzantine Empire, not the Latin Empire. The Latin Empire was formed after the Crusaders seized Constantinople from the Byzantines, which was then later recaptured by the Byzantine emperor Michael VIII. “After I'm dead I'd rather have people ask why I have no monument than why I have one.” - Cato the Elder“No Sane man will dance.” - Cicero“Show me a sane man and I will cure him for you.” - Carl Gustav JungRain is a government conspiracy.

I'm not too good at medieval European history, but saying it was the Latin empire is just... ridiculous.... “After I'm dead I'd rather have people ask why I have no monument than why I have one.” - Cato the Elder“No Sane man will dance.” - Cicero“Show me a sane man and I will cure him for you.” - Carl Gustav JungRain is a government conspiracy.

Yeah...those mistakes were pretty inexcusable...For god's sake, the Latin Empire was contemporary with Stefan Dusan's empire, which was about a century or more before the Ottoman Turks seized Constantinople from the BYZANTINE empire... Well the Byzantines were European... sort of. But they were far more enlightened compared to the rest of Europe at the time. “After I'm dead I'd rather have people ask why I have no monument than why I have one.” - Cato the Elder“No Sane man will dance.” - Cicero“Show me a sane man and I will cure him for you.” - Carl Gustav JungRain is a government conspiracy.

The Byzantines were Romans who were Greeks. Does that make sense?Anyway, they were European.Stefan Dusan's Serbian Empire (Srbsko Carstvo) isn't something people who haven't look closely at Balkans history would know, but when talking about the Byzantine Empire, it's pretty important. It's easiest that books take a Eurocentric view in school though. It's the easiest way to cover the most dynamic flows of history.
