The bard arrives at the Goldshire palace with his flock shortly behind him, and sets the Keiseress down to her feet upon the steps of her Palace. His face hangs sadly and he looks up at his mistress with watery eyes.My Keiseress... my love. It is true that we have shared great moments in this day, and I would rather not have it end so quickly as the setting sun. But my love... this life extends beyond you and me. This life is only as brief as a wave upon the shore. It rises in its potential, crests in its majesty, but must inevitably crash upon the sands of time. And love is like the tide which carries the life, warm and strong when its presence is near, but always destined to fall again beyond the shore, cold and lonely again.JADIE, my love... if it were my whole choice I would escape this futile destiny, and crawl again to you every night when I am weary, and every morning when I am well. Turning swiftly he runs, and behind him is left only his shining coat lying at the foot of the steps to Goldshire Palace.He is absorbed into the cloud of his flock, which flies high into the clouds away from the Keiseress, and away from the earthly world.
