You're so needy...

Post by Gman Russell »

Don't read on if you want to be happy... because right now I feel like a killjoy and exactly like the title. For some time now i've felt deeply... well, for lack of a better word; wounded. Not by anyone in particular, just by life. Like i'm its footstool now. Mostly because it seems all around have an over-abundance of lovers and I have no one who would even give me the time of day. They make it sound so terribly easy, and they allways seem to be so non-chalant about it. Why, when I try and care so much, do I find the "the field" empty? Should I just not care? I tried that, and I couldn't. It didn't work anyway. I feel ruined... like an old relic no one wants. Why do women want the guy that doesn't care, the one she knows is bad for him... but the guy who will care and keep her safe; "Just a good friend"...Any advice? Words of encouragement...? Anything? "How Kids Make Friends" by Lonnie Michelle Â… and before you knock it because of the title believe me when I say adults can learn from this book as well.

Shy? Me too. In the words of my mentor in these matters, the inimitable Sean T. O'Seanbhaile, get some dutch courage. If you need to, mix it in with club orange or whatever. Makes all the difference. Admittedly I'm not so bad that I need to get drunk, but not that good either. The important thing to learn in this, G, is that not all girls are Alex and Jadie, nor are they the man-hunting she-daemons you have been describing. Some are in the middle. Those are the ones I assume you want to appeal to. I know it's going to be painful, it was for me, but smart yourself up a bit if you can, maybe give the locks a bit of a trim, that sort of thing. Then you'll get all the girls complaining that they liked your hair long, and you can draw them into all sorts of farcical conversations. ononism is a guy that lives in northern Finland and works for Disney World. When the dolphines from Disney get old they are shipped to ononism in Findland.Once this happens they are no longer called dolphines but are known as endrophines and are released to regain their freedom.Thusononism releases endorphines.

Minister of Trade /and/ capable of speeches that make the most horribly convoluted 'birds and the bees' speeches look like latenight TV on the spice channel...Austi Scot is capable of it all.But can he do this? The world shall never know. "Disce quasi semper victurus; vive quasi cras moriturus"

Greg, let me say there is hope. In the past few weeks since I broke up with Ica again, i've been pursuing a friend of mine that i've gotten rather close to...asked her to prom and stuff...and things are going surprisingly well...she knows i like her (cuz she asked me point blank) and, well, lots of her friends are suggesting to me that those feelings are being reciprocated...what i'm saying greg is don't give up...keep looking...girls do go for the sweet guys...it's just that a lot of them don't know (or don't think) such men exist...and the ones that want to keep you as friends...well...sometimes it just takes a while...take it slowly...i'm a little shy so i take it a little to slowly...but that's better than too fast....i've seen bad things happen when speed is involved...though not always *looks erik's way*don't worry, man...you;ll find her soon...
