It is with a heavy heart that I report that Kaiseress Aure I has passed from this world. The charasmatic Kaiseress was found in her quarters earlier today and was killed by a snake bite, apparently self-inflicted. While we have no reason to suspect foul play, the news as it stands is devistating. Kaiseress Aure I breathed new life into this nation and will take her lofty place among our great leaders of the past. Her funeral service and burial will be taking place soon.As I was named the heir of the late Kaiseress, it is my duty to take up the throne. I am Kaiser Meskan the 1st, named after the B0O0/\/\ist god of enlightenment. Like my patron, I hope to continue the growth of Shireroth and all of its citizens.I see our great nation is divided by current cultural conflict. There are those that wish to see the nation change and develop in new directions, and there are those that wish to see our great history preserved. I plan to work with both sides, both mindsets, to help create a Shireroth that can change without sacrificing its past. However, I am announcing that the conflict is at an end. There will be no more bitterness by either side. We will work this out and we will work it out without fighting among ourselves.To my ministers, you are doing a good job, despite a few activity problems. I plan on keeping everyone where they are, with the exception of the Minster of Immigration. As Kaiser, it no longer seems fitting for me to hold that job. If you wish to take it up, feel free to start a measure in the Landsraad or Front Gate. Furthermore, I am requesting that all active ministers prepare a report of their status. This does not need to be very detailed, but it will be useful in juding how everyone is progressing.Shireroth is a great nation, and I am proud to be its Kaiser. Our strength has allowed us to continue on during these seasonal times of widespread inactivity. We have an all-star cast of citizens and foreign allies alike. Their strength and determination is to be commended. Truely, Shireroth is among the strongest nations in the world. Take pride in this, but know that it was no accident. We succeed not by accident or by luck but because we are willing to continue onward.We will overcome the loss of our late Kaiseress but not forget her memory and her deeds. Now, Shireroth awaits.
