Anyone else? I'm sure we can squeeze a few more birthdays in. It doesn't matter how belated. Last year would be fine even.

Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY AURE!
Quote:*Scott hands Aurefiction a beautiful and elaborately bordered scroll. Aurefiction opens it up and reads the message: "Congratulations. I no longer suspect you of being Ari Rahikkala playing some sort of elaborate joke on us, at least not too much."** grin *Aurefiction's signature doesn't have a comma between the words "Quixy" and "the", and you still suspected her of being a double login of me? I might be able to design a personality with a different style of speech and history than me, but I would never equip him/her with a signature that contains an omission that bothers me as much as that one...Anyway... happy birthday, whenever it actually was :). I'm missing a comma in my signature... It's just ONE comma and it bothers you?! Grammar freak! *thinks of putting that comma in....*Yeah and thanks for the birthday congrats. It was back on the 29th. "Never let sense conquer nonesense"-- Quixy the god of Madness.

Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY AURE!
It's not that I'm a grammar freak, it's that it makes the meaning of your signature ambiguous. One can't be sure whether you intended to omit that comma or not - if you did, we're supposed to worship a god named "Quixy the god of Madness", if you didn't, you're advertising a god named Quixy (and mentioning that he (she?) is the God of Madness). The reason why this bothers me is that the names of old Finnish gods tend to have the same ambiguity... take, say, Ukko Ylijumala. He actually has two names - Ukko and Ukko Ylijumala. If you call him Ukko, his supreme god (Ylijumala) aspect needs to be mentioned separately (the fact that he's never called "Ukko, Ylijumala" makes this even more complicated - you need to specify what sort of a supreme god he is), but if you call him Ukko Ylijumala you have uttered only his name and nothing more. "I believe they just installed Gentoo Linux."

Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY AURE!
Sheesh! It's just a comma... Well actually, after reading all that I understand that it's not "just" a comma. So there. I added a comma into my signature. Now one can rightfully think that I may be you... "Never let sense conquer nonesense"-- Quixy, the god of Madness.

Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY AURE!
Well, exactly, Ari. It's not absolutely necessary that her signature include a comma any more than, say, "Fido the Talking Dog" needs a comma. It's quite possible that you...er...she...simply meant it to be Quixy The God Of Madness. But I still don't think it's you, so no worries.
