Choosing a subdivision...

Post by Shyriath »

Now that there's an immigration form up, I have to quit sitting on my behind and lazing about, I guess. Time to apply! But of course, I have to choose a subdivision now.I've narrowed it down to approximately four: Straylight, Goldshire, Elwynn, and Hyperborea.Straylight I'm considering because of the uniqueness... and although my dragony ancestors left the mother oceans many generations ago, I can still hold my breath with the best of them. Mastering sonar may be a little tougher, though.Goldshire? Maybe... I like peace and quiet of the rural sort. In fact, maybe it can be made even quieter by regressing to Stone Age technology, something which I will be sure to lobby for personally at the front steps of the Ducal Tree Fort.Elwynn just plain sounds nice, there's no getting around that. Music, food, welcoming to newcomers (yes, I have read Ari's introductions); what more could one want?Hyperborea I'm considering because of the description of its people; I am mildly, but sincerely, enlightened, at least when I'm not being strange. The big downside is the climate.I hate the cold. I mean, I really, REALLY hate the cold. (This is why I said 'approximately' four choices, because I am unlikely to move to the polar regions... but it's not completely unlikely). So here I am, in complete indecision. Feel free to try to advertise at me.

well if you are looking for peace and quiet Goldshire is the place for you. We are just like a little country town in the middle of nowhere. I love Goldshire for its uniqueness....but then again I am biased ;) Just a bubbly elf-cat girl who gives out adviceand saves countries

Hm, interesting. I thought that your sort of person would at least consider Kitanus Fields... all the other dragons of Shireroth live there, you know.Having never lived in Goldshire and Elwynn, I can't really tell you more than what you can see on the forums... but... regarding Hyperborea: You might want to talk with Scott, he'll probably be able to find a nice warm cave for you or have one dug and equipped if he isn't :). Regarding Straylight, you'd definitely make a great addition to the barony - I could even name you its baron if Artreus declines the position. Besides, living in Straylight would make you sort of Brookshirean, too (juridically anyway), so you could make three people happy by choosing Straylight - yourself, Erik and me :). "I believe they just installed Gentoo Linux."

*Posts his application* Straylight it is!*Grins a little* And I would be most happy to be a Baron, if no one else is available.
