Actually what Klaus described was SPAM Luncheon Meat, which is a trademark of HORMEL. Spam, on the other hand, is a completely different thing - and in fact, UCE and forum spam are also completely different things. UCE tends to be done with very little human work; just send that one mail to a million addresses and you're done. By definition, there is actually no spam on the Istvanistani OT, because:- each post is quite completely human-written, and each message is sent only once. This is not in any way similar to the definition of spam at http://www.cybernothing.org/faqs...e-faq.html- what we call "spam" doesn't actually drown out normal discourse like real spam does (if you know the Monty Python skit where the name Spam comes from you know what this means) since it IS the only kind of normal discourse on that forum... "The Euro symbol is a little box? Makes sense, given the cars you guys drive..." --be-fan (of Slashdot), who had a little compatibility problem
