Okay, I'm seriously reconsidering my approval of your citizenship... I probably don't have the power to revoke it, but you are really starting to annoy me.I thought Jesus freaks pissed me off, but now I have a democracy freak?!Get this straight: We have no desire to be a reincarnation of the Tymaria that was. We'd rather be different, unique, than effective. Or at least I would... I guess I don't really have the right to speak for the whole republic... But even so, we can make ourselves effective while being different and unique. How much does the American political system interest you? Do you have an extreme urge to enter politics? If you want to preach democracy, do it to someone who might accept it.I'm perfectly happy with our quasi-monarchist republic right now, as Erik is doing a most excellent job as our Kaiser. Also you yourself have proven that sharing the power can be a bad thing. Which is probably the reason the administration was restricted again...Once again, I know I can't speak for the whole nation, so I'd like to know the rest of all your views on this... maybe we can use democracy to decide if we want a democracy... Democracy and Progress

Post by Philip Locke »

At the moment Shireroth is many things. Some of these things are good things: Shireroth has a sizable population, at least half of which are actie. It is attempting to get a working economy underway. It is lead by experienced micronationalists while not being totally devoid of new blood. But, I will tell you two things that Shireroth is not: democratic and progressive. This should be a thorn in every citizen's side but sadly, it is not. Some claim that "this is the way Shireroth is", that democracy, or even federalism/republicanism which I now advocate, have no place in the Imperial Republic. It is the truth that this nation has never had much democracy in its viens, but that does not mean that it *shouldn't* have democracy in its veins. If we had the representitive system that I am working for then we would have a burst of activity and the creation of an incentive for people to be active and do good work. With this activity comes progressive thinking which in turn leads to the pioneering of new ideas. Will Shireroth be forever ruled by a council of dukes that are there for, well, until they decide that they donÂ’t want to be? Or will we all come to our senses and realize what fun, what excitement, what progress a republican style govÂ’t would generate?
