Therefore, I would ask that we might set up a system by which we might have a clearinghouse of sorts. The Hegemon's Court would be good center-place for the sharing of information. Should the Lands pass a bill, the Logos reports it there, as per my request - should the Strategos present the credentials of some foreign state or announce a treaty has been made or a decision has been made in the League, he might report it here too. Kristarch, Polemarch, Archon, Justice, etc. Moreover, those decisions which might rely on the executive agency of the government should be located in a primary spot, to facilitate the quick and easy dissemination of information. Would, then, the various members of the Cabinet please give report to the Hegemon's Court in the more important matters that would concern everyone? I ask this not so much for myself, but because it would be of benefit to all. As the Lands is for the discussion of Duke-concerned law, and the Demes the realm of common-law, and the General Discussion board dedicated to general, unspecialized topics, and each individual department office specialized to their own end, I feel the Hegemon's Court would be the perfect place for the publication of such official gov't notation. Rather than searching all over the fora for how this law effects this treaty, or this annexation of the Polemarch effects this decision of the Kristarch, these decisions could be easily posted here, if they are either of a) formality that requires some sort of investiture of ceremony (i.e., the presenting of creds to the Head of State) or b) important enough to where it would be of merit to present them in the inter-office forum of the Court, where they can be analyzed by whomever. I also feel this would add a bit more structure and formality to our administration, which is sorely needed. I would agree to this idea. Having a central place where we meet to keep each other informed on important developements would save a lot of time forum hopping trying to find what the current issues are.Regards,Edward ConwayStrategos
