THE SECOND DAY OF GAHG OF THE MONTH OF ANANDJAN TWENTY AND TWO HUNDREDS AND SIXTY EIGHTA DECREEWhen the Hasanday of this month arrives I shall be away from this land of ours. I shall be back in half a week’s time.During the time I am away my beloved wife, whose beauty blinds us all, will sit upon the throne of Elwynn. She shall have all the ten votes of the Duchy in the Landsraad of the Empire, and I trust that she will use them with great wisdom and care for the people of Elwynn and Lac Glacei.I ask my beloved wife, whom I exalt in the highest, not to decree anything in her and my Duchy, and I ask that she refrains from decreeing unless in grave emergency, to keep herself pure of politics and all other matters temporal. I ask her to respect the democratic will of our people in Elwynn and Lac Glacei, that she shall respect and undertake any decisions that the people of Elwynn and Lac Glacei have taken through a democratic referendum, so that she may act on their behalf, and honour them.I ask that should there be an emergency, such as if our land will be under attack and be threatened by barbarous invasions and threats of massacre, have the Amir of Elwynn, the great Count of Lesser Zjandaria, lead the defence of the Duchy of our land, so that Elwynn will not be put under the tyranny of alien oppressors.Were it now that my beloved wife, the Lady of Elwynn, would not wish to undertake what I have asked her of, then the people of Elwynn will elect a Steward until the day I return.Should not my beloved wife reply to this decree before the hour I leave Elwynn to foreign lands, then the people of Elwynn and Lac Glacei will, through their democratic right, elect a Steward for the Duchy, to have the same powers as I have given my Duchess in this decree, to rule and to serve the Duchy and the people of Elwynn and Lac Glacei.This decree is valid until the first day of Ugh of the month of Vanchauslurk, the day I will return.
