Imperial Republic of Shireroth Emigration Form Section one: general* What is your name?Patrick K. Wong (SSFSX17)* What is todayÂ’s date?March 18, 2004Section two: optional information* What is your reason for leaving?Other interests have grown tremendously over the past few weeks, namely:School: http://www.ics.uci.edu/ (LISP is a beeyotch!)Homestar Runner: http://www.homestarrunner.com/ (hunting for secrets)Jagged Alliance: http://www.ja-galaxy-forum.com/ (source code release opened the doors to a better tomorrow)Rise of Nations: o4brons.blogspot.com/ (less micromanagement than Warcraft III, that's for sure)Civ-Evolution: http://www.c-evo.org/ (I'm totally blowing lots of hours on this one)Trying to get into the whole Aspect-Oriented programming deal: aosd.net/ (what's up with Java documentation and the obfuscation of meaning?)Oldskool DOS games like Princess Maker: http://www.kkpmc.net/index2.html (I hex-edited the savegame format. By the way, I'm taking requests for other oldskool DOS savegame formats too.)Most of all, resuming work on the stuff that mDuo13 and I work on together. mDuo13's personal website is at mduo13.no-ip.org/ where you can learn about even more things that take our time. We can't very well recruit people for our purpose if people don't even post to our IF topics within 30 days, let alone display writing talent. It also took an extremely long time for me to coax "serious" debate out of anyone. It was not entertaining or fun at all to need so much time to get the first "real" answer out of anyone (I consider the first "real" answer to be one of the ones posted in the past 48 hours). This surprised me, since I expected micronationals to be above average in proficiency. Yes, debates and arguments are just games to me, and I look at sentences as if they were units in a strategy game. I hope nobody who was really trying to put feeling into the debate is offended or anything.* Do you plan on joining another micronation after Shireroth? If so, what nation?None, unless it's filled with people who are really into guns. If so, please tell me about it! For some reason, people who are really into guns tend to also be good potential writers. I've read some Doom and Quake fanfiction that would make published authors cry in incompetence. It helps that I'm into guns too, since that helps me get along just fine.Filling out this form releases you from any oath you may have taken to the Kaiser and/or government of the Imperial Republic of Shireroth. One last argument from me... where does the loyalty come from, if the oath is not binding? I'm not gonna be around to see the answer, but I hope that any discussion is eventually carried out to its COMPLETION. I was looking at some of those old international conference archives, and they seem to just end up right back where they start.
