Greater Brookshire votes NAY (6), and points out that removing conditional voting removes a large portion of voter influence. Viatax Sitadi Axdivijink Regigoraauk

Clarification of Landsraad Procedures
RESOLVED that the Landsraad procedures should be taken to imply that a straight vote of AYE, NAY, ABSTAIN, or some equivalent should be offered by a voter. No one may post complex votes that depend on a conditional or which command other people to act in a certain way in order to keep the vote.

Re: Clarification of Landsraad Procedures
Saying you will vote a certain way as part of debate or pursuasion is a totally different thing, as it is merely a statement of intent. This proposal only affects votes that are actually cast with a conditional statement and conflicting decisions, as yours were. *throws grenade for the hell of it*BO0O0O0O0/\/\!!!!!!

Re: Clarification of Landsraad Procedures
Yardistan Abstains (7). What if a bill was proposed, someone voted early, and then people started discussing changes? You wouldn't know when the bill is going to be changed, if it's going to be changed by the time the vote is up, etc. Votes could be for one version, or another. They call it a signature, but no one ever signs their posts...

Re: Clarification of Landsraad Procedures
Probably because you're a Minister, but I think the law prohibits you from doing so until you've been summoned. Go away.If a voter wants to force someone to change part of their bill, they can simply tell the person that they won't vote unless whatever they want is added to the text of the law, or make a backroom deal in private in a smoke-filled room. These variable votes Fax is doing are kind of sketchy for a couple of reasons.1. If the person reneges on the deal after the bill is passed, does the vote change retroactively and something that was formerly a law become not a law?2. It becomes very easy for it to become a form of bribery. "I'll vote yes on this PROVIDING you support my next bill" or "I'll vote yes on this PROVIDING you advise the Kaiser to name me his successor"3. It's confusing for the Praetor4. It's confusing for the other voters. If I propose a bill to do A, and a Duke says he'll only vote on it if I do B, but another Duke doesn't want B, then in voting for the bill he's actually indirectly voting for something he doesn't want which isn't included in the text.5. It's completely against all civilized legislative procedure.

Re: Clarification of Landsraad Procedures
I'll change my vote to Aye if you appoint me the next Kaiser. After a bit of thought, it's kind of impossible to solve said problem, but this comes as close as any of the ways I came up with. Yardistan changes to AYE (7). They call it a signature, but no one ever signs their posts...

The Barony of Amity and Mirioth votes aye (3). There are no flowers, no not this time. There will be no angels gracing the lines, just these stark words I find.
