My Dear Lady, the Kaiseress:After you in your decree stated that Iain de Vembria were to be stripped off his title in Lac Glacei, and that Lac Glacei no longer would be part of the Elwynnese Community (or even Shireroth for that matter), the Elwynnese people, whom I represent and from whom my authority in speaking of this comes, have felt a sad state of divorce from their brethren in Lac Glacei.When David, my predecessor to the throne of Elwynn whose ideals in governing Elwynn I try to follow, applied to join Shireroth, especially Lac Glacei, the very next day it was decreed by you, my Lady, that Lac Glacei was to no longer form a part of the Shirerithian State. David had for a long time been the only authority and figure of Lac Glacei, and you, my Lady, decided to give Shirerithian land away to an alien denizen. May I ask if you had discussed this with the Grand Duke of Lac Glacei, Eoin, or perhaps with the Emperor emeritus, or even with David who had left a significant mark upon the life and culture of Lac Glacei? If Lac Glacei had meant more to Mr Caruso he would have most certainly joined Shireroth in maintaining the culture and life of Lac Glacei as he saw it.You may be angered that I discuss items not even under my jurisdiction, but I am upset, and so are your subjects in Elwynn, that under no time was the subject of Lac Glacei ever discussed there by you regarding the status of Lac Glacei and the Lac’s future. Elwynn always maintained Shirerithian sovereignty over the Lac Glacei, and Elwynn does feel left out. Yet now, no reparations on the matter may be done, for this State has in effect renounced sovereignty over the Lac Glacei.My Lady, you may remember that the very name of the jurisdiction I head was, before its ducal formation, “Elwynn and Lac Glacei”, signifying and symbolising the union between the people of the Lac and the people of the Elwynn. A divorce has such been created that the heart of Elwynn cries out loud in pain.And my friend, who has sworn loyalty to your institution, feels that he is still a man of Lac Glacei, and that he would, if all circumstances were good, could regain the title of Count of Lac Glacei, but I acknowledge, and so does he, that it would appear impossible given the boat that your decrees, my Lady, put us all in. Violating the Contract of Elwynn would have, for other person than your institution, been a condemned action, and we hope that next time you or your institution decide to violate a ducal contract, the persons affected from that violation will be heard and their views considered.In light of this, humbly I petition you and your sacred Majesty to apologise for these actions begone. Should you do this, all of Elwynn will forgive you and all this will be put behind us, and we can without sorrow in our hearts look forward.And I also, on behalf of our mutual friend, petition you to grant him the County of Wintergleam, so that he once more can be part of his brethren in Elwynn, allowing him to play a full part in the civil life of this Shireroth of ours.

As far as I know, the Grand Duchy of Lac Glacei is still eligible for standard feudal contracts within our feudal system, though we should probably add in a clause about protectorates.I shall speak to the Landsraad and Judex about how protectorates function within the feudal system; if they act as I hope they will, we may be able to find a solution that would allow the Count of Lac Glacei to be David, while the Grand Duke would be WarVoid. Theoretically, the former would handle external affairs, while the latter would handle internal, though that is really up to the citizens within.I shall personally speak to WarVoid and David at the next available opportunity to see what I can do.

Greater Automatica isn't a territory. Lesser Automatica is.Didn't we just discuss this? EDIT:And pay a visit to the Lac Glaceian forums. As if in answer to this, I wrote a decree earlier today giving David the title of Lord Baron of Lac Glacei. A position which gives him an honourary seat in any Lac Glaceian cabinet and ranks him as special advisor to the Grand Duke. Useless art is simply tolerated vandalism. It shouldn't. He has been granted feudal rights to the land (meaning he can rule his subjects and claim minor nobility for being a count, as well as enter into feudal contract), but the status of the land itself shouldn't be an issue.
