Re: Proclamation: Ministers
At last count, 42 people have applied for citizenship since I was appointed MINT. Of those, I think mabye 2 are actually active.I hope to initiate some new programs that I think will keep the newer Shirerithians informed, and give some of the older Shirerithians something to do. More to come on this as I make it up ________________It is a damn poor mind indeed which can't think of at least two ways to spell any word.-Andrew Jackson

Proclamation: Ministers
As I've said, I believe our main task in the coming months is to perpetuate our current activities, to keep them going in the face of whatever obstacles lie ahead. To do this, Shireroth will need a grouping of able and intelligent Ministers, each to direct their own area of our government.Thankfully, the greatest part of the task of selecting these individuals has already been done for me.I will retain myself as MiniEx, at least until I find a suitable successor ready to work with me on truly bringing Shireroth out of its isolationism. Till then, I intend to continue with DiploCorp and to refine its workings.Nick, as MINT, has had to cope with one of the greatest influxes of new citizens this country has faced, and himself only newly naturalised to Shireroth, though it cannot be denied he is not a new face. I will PM you soon about further plans for integration of new citizens, if I don't see you on AIM.Moose, as Minfo (yes, I plan to use this abbreviation), I believe you are most able to put your talents to work. As I've said, I wish the website to be completed by the end of my reign. You have been commended for your work on the Wiki, an award I whole-heartedly endorse. Keep up the good work.Shyriath, the Wiki has given us a vast new repository of information, and is now swimming with entries on Shirerithian culture. It is imperative, however, that the MoRE forum and the University do not go unused. I intend to revive my Irish classes there as soon as I get settled, and I hope Bakaness will begin her lessons too. Micronational education is a noble concept. Under your management, I'm sure we can make it work.Greg, my Bladed Hand, we will meet on the fields of battle in Elwynn soon enough. What better task for MoMA, then to organise such titanic clashes of fates and destinies? I think that the military is making a greater cultural impact now than at any other time in this nation's history. Let loose the dogs of war!Fax, your ShireFox bar is, as I've said, both shiny and nifty in the extreme. Let us hope that MiniInt can bring us more advances such as this. I hope that your appointment as Standards Officer brings a new level of quality to the Wiki, and that you and Moose can work together to make Shireroth's media the most impressive in our Sector. And now, for my solitary actual appointment. Shacia, Countess of Vervollkommnung, I hope you will accept the post of Minister of Trade, to implement an economic system that will do Shireroth proud. If you need anything, feel free to ask. This is another goal of mine, to establish yet another grand Shirerithian institution, a working, functioning economy. And now, my Ministers, whether you be old hands or new to the job, I request that you get to work.

Hm... my job is to make war. No problem. :P There are no flowers, no not this time. There will be no angels gracing the lines, just these stark words I find.
Re: Proclamation: Ministers
*Bows* Thankee, O Kaiser, although the Wiki's impressive stature is not as much my doing as others'; I have contributed only small fractions.

Re: Proclamation: Ministers
What ever happened to that idea Fax said he would do of an email newsletter? We need to deluge those inactive new people with emails about current goings on in Shireroth until they're flooded out of their inboxes and have to return here just to get to higher ground. Shyriath: Though the Wiki may have only a fraction of your work on it, as Minister of Research and Education it should naturally be in your portfolio. Perhaps some surrogate arrangement is possible, where Minfo administrates, the Standards Officer vets, and MoRE makes use.As for the newsletter idea, that sounds like just the ticket. Unless I'm mistaken all our new citizens have had to supply e-mails to register. To cover ourselves in future, perhaps a "Would you like to receive a Shirerithian newsletter" button could be added to the immigration form? In the meantime, let us bombard the cloth-eared layabouts until they submit and become proper citizens!

Re: Proclamation: Ministers
I've already started using a Google groups mass email to get information to my charges. It can easily be expanded. ________________It is a damn poor mind indeed which can't think of at least two ways to spell any word.-Andrew Jackson
Re: Proclamation: Ministers
Kaiser, Thank you so much for placing your trust in me. I will do my best to be sure that the trust is well placed. Please forgive my absence this past week. I was very ill. I was almost put into the hospital last week, and have been out of work until today. I will continue to work on the economy, to bring it to a viable and thriving enterprise. I am having my home computer worked on this week, so I anticipate that I will have internet at home in a couple of weeks, if my computer can be fixed, that is.
