Proclamation: Antica Policy

Post by Kaiser Los III »

The Imperial Republic of Shireroth wishes for cordial and productive relations with both the Dinarchy of Antica and with the Republic of Antica. We are disappointed that the situation has degenerated into two unfriendly states, but we recognize that what was done is done, and hold no ill will towards either. The Imperial Republic of Shireroth recognizes both states as legitimate successors to the old Antica. We extend de facto recognition to both states, and we will extend de jure recognition to the Republic as soon as it reaches the three month age required under Shirerithian law.Further, we extend to both countries the offer to continue working closely with us in the same manner as before. The two former Dinarchs, Delphi and Octavius, will understand more clearly what I mean by that and will hopefully inform anyone else in their country who needs to know. I will be happy to discuss details further with any representatives of either state. The Imperial Republic of Shireroth is not and will not be partipating in any plots by either state to undermine the other. It is our hope that, should both states continue to coexist into the indefinite future, they can do so in peace, and we are open to serving as mediators to pursue this goal.In the past few days, vicious rumors have arisen that Shireroth and in particular the Shirerithian crown have behaved in a biased way or have shown a lack of respect for the Republic of Antica. These rumors are false. This document and this document alone expresses Shireroth's policy and views toward the Republic. If certain Antican citizens are under the delusion that the Kaiser dislikes them, they are asked to keep this delusion personal rather than try and bring it to an international level; or, better yet, to ask the Kaiser to clarify his feelings, which he will certainly do.The only action officially taken against a Republic of Antica citizen was an attempt to neutralize the danger from a former Antican agent who threatened to reveal joint Antican-Shirerithian secrets to the Grand Commonwealth. I make no apologies for what may admittedly be an overreaction on this issue as the safety of Shireroth is my top priority. Anyone with the appropriate security clearances from Shireroth, the Dinarchy, or the Republic can ask me about this matter and I will happily explain it. Shireroth does not blame the Republic for this unfortunate incident and hopes it can be put behind us.Once again, this document expresses Shireroth's policies towards the Dinarchy and Republic of Antica. Any insinuations that its policies are anything different are entirely false, and I will be happy to clear them up if asked. There is no reason why, if everyone behaves rationally, the good relationship between Shireroth and Antica, in all of the latter's incarnations, cannot be expected to continue for many years to come.

I was under the impression we didn't recognize secessionist states. Blindness Is A Blessing

Well, if we don't recognize either, than we piss them both off. If we don't recognize the Republic, we piss them off a LOT. A case by case system for stuff like this is definately the best policy. They call it a signature, but no one ever signs their posts...

Do we have that policy?I know that we're against places like Menelmacar where there are actual coups and people stealing forums, but the Anticans did everything nice and legal.Do you know where I can look to find policies like that?

Wow. Thanks Kaiser. Here's a cookie. Just kidding...Really, I'm really gracious that we have your recognition. We don't want to trouble anyway. Our goals aren't about spreading our system we just want to mantain our sovereignty and prosper as our own micronation. The Dinarchy and the Republic are seperate nations and I don't think hard feelings between us will last long. I think feelings that we are a foreign policy threat should be minimized. We want a republic and to have a democratic government because that is what we believe is a proper system. Thanks again. At an early age such as this, recognition is an important thing. Edited by: stevenAntica at: 9/4/05 19:24

We actually used this same policy (just alittle reversed) with the SPEAR/GC debacle, I like that the ideas I used were worthy of a repeat performance. There are no flowers, no not this time. There will be no angels gracing the lines, just these stark words I find.
