Kildare Demands Compensation!
Between MCS map revisions 6.6.2 and 6.6.3, Kildare sacrificed a large portion of land in order to free up land on the MCS map. Shortly thereafter, the map was extended and a few islands and an entirely new continent was risen.Since we were so kind to give up land (something which Shireroth -never- does, might I add) to the MCS, I believe we have a case that they should be so kind to us in return in granting some land of sentimental value to the citizens of Kildare. This is a petition to the Kaiser to request this favour from the MCS. If they accept, we'll show you the land we want, and if not, then there will be bloody war : -->:"> unless Kildare gets compensation from the Imperial Government for our large sacrifice. No pressure, of course. Erik, as Kaiser, made an agreement and permanent pact with the MCS that Shireroth would not take on any more land. Efectively capping Shireroth's lands as they stand, permanently. They have since remained static - neither growing or shrinking. This was the agreement and I expect that pact to be maintained.

Actually, is there a decree like that? I can't remember, nor can I find it in the Kaiser's Court archives. hm.Doesn't matter, though. All decrees can be overridden. Ryan: Two things. The first is that that pact was made on the basis that Shireroth had 1/3 of the MCS map in territories*. If you would like to grant Shireroth its 1/3 of the map, I would be fine with that. The second is that the pact was made before the lands North of Raynor and Cognito were given up to the MCS because it -needed- more unoccupied land so nations could have more than meager portions of land. The first condition changed with the advent of the second condition, and both conditions changed drastically when the MCS map was extended and new continents were raised, and, furthermore, Erik emigrated.Shireroth and several of its citizens over time have done a lot for the MCS, and I can think of no reason why our goodwill of offering our land to the MCS when we were in excess could not be returned when now the MCS is the party that is in excess of land.*: If I recall correctly, the pact was not that Shireroth would not gain more land, but that all nations (as the MCS treats each of its member states equally) would be restricted from gaining over 1/3 of the map in territories, but that Shireroth's existing territories would be exempt by a grandfather clause. Since we no longer exceed 1/3 of the map, there is no reason why this pact should apply to us anymore. Re: Kildare Demands Compensation!
I vaguely remember the pact being that Shireroth would neither give up land nor gain it, but that was well before the supposed land crisis. It would seem to me that Shireroth's giving up of territory and the MCS's accepting of it signifies a mutual desire to end the pact.
