Problem with Word

I must have messed up one of the settings on Word, because now, whenever I highlight text and press backspace, it just brings me to the beginning of the highlighted text without deleting anything. Any idea what I did and how I fix this?

Check Tools -> Customize -> "Keyboard", to see if you accidentally hit anything random, or if you see any shortcuts that have to do with backspace. You will probaby have to do some hunting in multiple categories. It didn't look pretty.I checked the list of standard shortcuts, and normally deleting highlighted text would be done with Backspace or Delete.
