Hypothetic question
Would it be in Shireroth's interests to join the GC if Shireroth's Kaiser became Shahan-Ri, and aspects of GC would of course be Shirerithianized?NO! We're independent for Fnord's sake!NO! We won't succumb to the bastard Babkhans!YES! No more Babkhan Empire - but a Union of StatesYES! And Great Satan would be ruled by Shireroth!Uhm. Dunno.Show results

Re: Hypothetic question
I'd say go for it. It'd be fun, although I don't know how long it would last, and we could always secede if we didn't like it. The GC really only deals with foreign affairs, which is something we don't do much of anyway, and we'd be able to continue doing our stuff over here in the same way the Babkhans do today.

Re: Hypothetic question
No. No way, ever. Mergers have failed in the past, and Shireroth is practically proof of that, as it was founded as a refuge from the mistakes of the past. I would not want to give up our sovereignty in any way, shape or form.Mergers tend to destroy the inner workings of the nation that merge as focus is put into the extranational activity. (Activity of the main forums.) Not including the destruction of cultures - The Apollo Sector was effectively gone by the emergance of Tymaria. We have enough problems as it is, being rivals to the GC, much less be part of it. We're the most active micronation in the Micras Sector, yet our duchies have enough problems being active as it is. You really shouldn't have even suggested this, because it's futile. If individual nations of the GC want to be part of Shireroth, that's fine, as long as they integrate into the culture we have now. But I would not sacrifice one drop of sovereignty to join for something that really has no purpose. What would be the goal if we joined? Have the entire map be GC-controlled territory? Then there's no point - it's pointless to control an entire world that you created. Diversity is the spice of life in micronations, and mergers ruin this. Hypothetically, we could join them just for fun, and then secede whenever we get bored - after we Shirerithianized the place.Of course, before we even could join, we must have secured Shirerithian dominance. Like - proportional representation of the member states in the Majlis-i-Dharma, an Apollo apology from Babkha or something It's a fun idea, but it's not really likely, yeah?I'm happy to be Shirerithian and to have things as they are. Just toyed with an idea. Alternatively we could join Attera! Richard LyonYansha Elaer Kyon gef ShanPernem kahn gef kuymal per varga stiPernem kahn gef varga per kuymal sti

Re: Hypothetic question
Why should we have our nation become inferior in a merge to nations that are less successful than our own? As I said before - if anything, those nations should join Shireroth, not vice-versa.And considering the fact that many people here are proud of Shireroth's success and soverignty, it would be really bad to lose those very people who would be outraged at a merge that, to them, has no real benefits, and only harms them. Including myself. Bill Dusch - Archon of SoloralismCitizen of ShirerothProud to be Apollonianvar txtList = new Array()txtList[txtList.length]="'Whoa! You're in...college now? You got...older! Re: Hypothetic question
I'm just letting you guys know that I'm really very drunk right now.I drank about a 1/3 of a bottle of Svedska vodka plus a few beers, but somehow I am less fucked up than my buddy who made out with some random girl and only had a few beers and one shot. He's feeling kinda guilty over it because he has a girlfriend but here I am thinking to myself "jesus, why the fuck can't I make out with random hot chicks? Is it because I'm not hungarian enough?"Such is life, I suppose.Fuck, I need to drink a lot of water right now.Oh yeah, and this is also to disprove that stupid notion that drunk people can't type. I've said it once and I'll say it again, people who do that are bullshitting. I am well and truly drunk yet my cognitive functions are still more or less intact.Granted, my slavic heritage gives me an advantage over other ethno-types of Europeans, but still, mostly these people just play this shit up for all its worth. I, on the other hand, am made of sterner stuff. Slava Perunu!Fuck! What a good night this was! SF-SNEdited by: Stjepan Veliki at: 10/8/05 23:14

It's those 13 year olds who claim they're drunk and then pretend they can't type that give those of us who can handle a strong drink a bad name.DEATH TO THE 13 YEAR OLDS! Ryszor FirestormWarchief of the Burning Blade Clan

Furthermore, I should add that I did not plan adaquetely for this, as I had not eaten anything that day since lunch except for a corn muffin that I grabbed on my way to the party. My stomach was quite empty. SF-SN

Re: Hypothetic question
Indeed, but you would not believe how many dorks go on the internet and type things like "omg!! I am tehssooo drukn rithg no.w!"It's pathetic! (I'm not drunk, anymore btw. That was one hell of a night though.)Actually, I should elaborate on why it was fantastic. The drinking itself would count for little, but I was with some really cool people at this party and since everyone else was completely gone by this point, we started to play The Trooper and Brothers of Metal out of the basement stereo and rocked out. Re: Hypothetic question
the only report of me typing bad when drunk, is that of a friend of mine, who, when I was playing an mmorpg while drunk, claimed, the next day, that I type something that he and his gf eventually interpreted as "sorry, I fell off my chair" If you feel an icy chill...the Conglacio is amongst you
