Well certains sections of DC are decent (i.e. if you stay out of Southeast). Plus, I would say that DC can be for sightseeing etc. - but we can make Maryland our base of operations :P

meh, I lived in philly two years ago. It was still a shithole and YES, it is dirtier than NYC. NYC at least has a few halfway to decent areas in Manhattan and a lot of interesting people. Philadelphia basically has a few blocks around the city hall and then it all turns to shit (and I consider West Philly shit too, though for different reasons than the other parts, obviously).And I'll fight anyone here who disagrees!**and since I know a lot of people here don't get my sense of humor (and never have), yes, this is a joke SF-SNEdited by: Stjepan Veliki at: 8/8/05 12:05

My mother pointed out earlier today that flights to NYC are relatively cheap right now, and if I wanted to visit any of my micronational friends this would be an excellent time to do so. I find it slightly too much of a coincidence that you guys are planning an east coast Shirecon in the same week that she would bring this up.I might be able to attend, though only if it is in NYC and only over a holiday long enough for me to be able to fly in for more than a few hours.
