On the recent Elwynn decree
He can't edit or delete it here. Quote:we salute brave Harald and his Huskarls who scattered the Antyan invasion fleet in the Battle of Vijayanagra,Didn't happen - that was godmodding and was ignored, remember?Quote:We brought Yardistan to seek peace. Yet there has been no peace treaty nor any accord ending the War of Vengeance for the Baron of Antya with obstinate pride has never signalled any willingness end the aggression against Elwynn.Actually, this is because the war never ended. We only declared a cease fire so that we could accomodate new rules for the war, but people were too lazy to reinitiate it. You didn't win the war - it was merely a stalling, mostly because of the fact that we felt that SNARL wasn't working with the way it was set up.In fact, we did make a second declaration with the new rules (I think), but we just didn't redo the war again. As well, the agreement between me and Ric for the cease-fire was that the war was put in stasis - e.g. every troop would freeze in place where they are, and when the war would initiate again, the troops would just continue fighting the battles that already were underway. So my troops are still technically in the northern sea of Elwynn. Re: On the recent Elwynn decree
First... Oz, you never replied to my post either, which I hope you realize is not an insult, but a thought-out response to your verbal attack on Bill. I can't call you a hypocrite, since I'm not acusing you or insulting you at all, but I can ask why you pounce on people for not responding to the parts you want to on a post when you, yourself do not respond when asked to.Second...Quote:Quote:Instead he insults us daily with lewd assaults against our citizens and the propagation of the infamous blood libel against the Babkhan minority in Elwynn. This, together with his disgraceful Ninth Decree, the Banning of Ozarka Monto in defiance of natural justiceIf this about insults, are you not guilty of that very same action? Isn't an insult a perception by the "insulted"? If the decision is up to you, how is he supposed to defend himself? He can say all he wants that everything he said was in good faith, but you can still say that what he said was insulting to you. Someone can say "Merry Christmas" and another person can say "HEY THAT OFFENDS ME BECAUSE OF MY RELIGION", and they have every right to say so, becuase they decide when they feel insulted. So you can still do what you want, threaten him if you will, but I ask that you consider keeping a level head while doing so. Not attacking him for his mistakes. --- The first step is admitting I have a problem.

Re: On the recent Elwynn decree
I don't consider officially banning a fellow citizen merely an insult, and I am not the only one to perceive it so.
Re: On the recent Elwynn decree
Wow... I didn't know that. Thank you, you've been a great help in figuring out somthing so basic and simple. Also, I believe you talked about more than him banning you. Well, unless banning is considered "lewd harrasment". That would be pretty weird. What I want to know Oz, is what you are trying to do. Why do this to Bill? Sure, he banned you. Obviously, if someone hits you, the mature thing to do is to hit tham back, right? Is that what you're thinking? Or are you trying to force him to repeal the ban?Have you tried talking to him about the banning calmly, while refraining from making comments as to his personality? I don't know, but I think you could try this time. --- The first step is admitting I have a problem.

Frankly Rarkasha? I'm through with him, and sadly, he seems to have found another pawn - you.Yes, I have tried being reasonable, if you will check (though I admit I did lose my temper when I accidentaly missed the date and got nailed for it) I took him to a legitimate, non-bias court using the proven law system of the Duchy to have him b anned for banning me until he UN banned me, an eye for an eye was my stance at that time. However, n ow, at everyturn it seems he pops in to meddle with anything that involves myself or Elwynn and likes to twist loopholes until it works for me.It also ticks me off to unending bounds to know he's rewarded for being a suck up.And I still hold to it that he ignored my request (back when) there was to be a Barony, because it involved me.Frankly, Rarkasha, I suggest you ask your Baron your own questions before bringing them out into the open, 'might save some time

Oz, lighten up. Bill does it to everyone. The guy's a cynic: it's almost his job description.
Re: On the recent Elwynn decree
What's more scary is that Oz is Bill's twin from about five years ago.For people like me, it's like re-living a bad car accident you've been in. Useless art is simply tolerated vandalism. I am a vandal.

I object to being called a cynic - I'm an optimist compared to real cynics. I consider myself a realist, not a cynic. Hopefully, Warvoid, I will take a left where Bill took a right, and vice versa.

But what if you turn left where he turned right and found out your dislexic? There are no flowers, no not this time. There will be no angels gracing the lines, just these stark words I find.

I asked if you had talked to him. Not if you had taken him to a court of law. And by talking, I mean without referencing any mistakes/ill will/etc.It's nice to know that, while you're doing this to Bill, you have some time for the little people, like me. Hey, if you can share the wealth, why not share the biased accusations? But hey, I'm not being entirely sarcastic. I like to consider myself fairly open minded. Of course Bill could be manipulating me. If he is, he's a frikken genius. I mean, he lets me join his barony while having no idea as to my personality, emotional tendancies, or loyalty, and then subtly manipulating me by not saying anything about it? THE FIEND! It's as if I have no control over my own destiny! Curse you, Bill!...I really need to stop being so sarcastic. A horrible reflex that really does nothing but cause more arguement. But flaws are flaws, and I can't just magic them away.My only questions are the ones I already asked: why are you doing this? Why do you think that the "eye for an eye" policy is the right policy between your fellow man? Those are not cynical, sarcastic questions. I want an answer, maybe even a reasonable debate, if you would like philosophy, and I can't get that from Bill. Unless he has the Third Eye of Prometheus, and is capable of staring into your soul. --- The first step is admitting I have a problem.

Re: On the recent Elwynn decree
A personal response on a few matters arising from by not directly concerned with Rarkasha's post. I cannot speak for Ozarka but I can give my observations and responses.Quote:Why do you think that the "eye for an eye" policy is the right policy between your fellow man?Retribution is a perfectly valid principle when applied to those who have created an imbalance in the social order, and who have a measure of guilt, that in itself is sufficient, that must be addressed by action against them. The conduct of Bill with regards to Ozarka, Babkhans and Elwynn in general was such that with the decree of Ardashirshahr-on-Storälven the purpose of the law was to provide retaliation for an offended party. By rediscovering the conflict between Elwynn and Antya we were given, on account of the ongoing belligerency, the framework for redress by retaliation without the need to resort to judicial due process - the obsevation of which had been subject to procedural delays and technical difficulties - and brought matters speedily to a head. With regards to 'our fellow men', in Elwynn we do not hold to Ackbarite conceit of universal and inalienable human rights, rights exist for the community of the ducal realm of Elwynn in order to mediate and guarantee the well being of the individuals that comprise it. It does not hold us to obligations regarding the well being of individuals outside of that community towards whom friendship or enmity are equally valid options, the preference for one over the other being determined only by expediency and circumstances. Speaking for myself my interactions with other people are not determined by my appreciation of their rights, which I do not believe they have, but instead by an assement of the comparative risks and benefits of interacting or not with them in a certain way. While in Elwynn the law is a social contract by and for the members of its community, with outlanders in the absence of peace a rough sense of justice demands the infliction of similar losses and penalties on the aggressor as he has inflicted on his victim. Bill was the aggressor, Bill wanted to purge Elwynn's cultural heritage, Bill initiated the war of vengeance, Bill slandered Ozarka with the suggestion of a lewd act to a minor which Ozarka found repulsive and insulting to his dignity, Bill banned Ozarka from Antya, Bill was punished accordingly by Elwynn to the best of its ability. What the Kaiser condemned, and was within his power to condemn, as 'personal attacks' was to Elwynn a simple act of retaliation, a continuation of the ongoing conflict and an 'eye for an eye'.Quote:Unless he has the Third Eye of Prometheus, and is capable of staring into your soul.Unless I am mistaken, and when Scott sees this I am sure he will correct me if I am, of that family of Titans it was Nemesis who had the third eye, and she was sister of Themis, who was mother of Prometheus. Greeks, eh, who'd have them?

I would like to take this moment to remind you that I condemned both your actions, not just Elwynn's.

Oz is dumb. Bill is dumb, but has a few more years of dealing with it than Oz.And I agree with Hypatia. They call it a signature, but no one ever signs their posts...
