Statement from the Republic of Antica
It is a treaty without signatories. It was proposed in a conference immediately after the annexation by foreign powers. After brief discussion, it was decided that we would not go through with the treaty, and we have since decided to work with Shireroth. We would not stoop so low as to betray so old a friend as Shireroth. Antica has not forgetten what you have done for us. As far as the Republic is concerned, it is water under the bridge and does not reflect the official position of the Republic of Antica.
Re: Statement from the Republic of Antica
The negotation in an attempt to carve up Shireroth territory without Shireorth's presence and prevent future Shireroth expansion, and trade Shireroth territory for other territory is not something that can just be "water under the bridge." It is not merely an insult, it is far worse. In effect it was an attempt at multilateral collusion targeted against Shireroth as if it didn't exist. Edited by: jdsager at: 12/8/05 20:16

Re: Statement from the Republic of Antica
We are extremely sorry for any harm we might have caused to our relationship and hope that all can be better. People make mistakes, and I hope that Shireroth will have it in them to accept our mistakes and move on with the talks. Edited by: stevenAntica at: 12/8/05 21:22

Re: Statement from the Republic of Antica
In all fairness, Steven didn't go ahead with the treaty. It's just vaporware. And, from what I've gathered, it wasn't even an option after the territorial negotiations began.Additionally, it would have never passed the Antican Assembly. ________________It is a damn poor mind indeed which can't think of at least two ways to spell any word.-Andrew Jackson

Foghorn, I'm sure you're well aware that had that lovely little foreign policy bill passed the Republic's assembly, that he wouldn't have had to go through an assembly vote to get the treaty ratified. It's all part of the same plan!

Re: Statement from the Republic of Antica
That may be Delphi, but if you look at the arguments made in the Assembly, we would never have given the Speaker such power. The initial proposal was considered too dangerous by the Assembly, and for good reason apparently.People are smarter than you'd like to believe, Delphi ________________It is a damn poor mind indeed which can't think of at least two ways to spell any word.-Andrew Jackson

Re: Statement from the Republic of Antica
The ammended bill was much more reasonable.
Re: Statement from the Republic of Antica
Whether or not it passed as is is not the issue, but rather the scheming intent behind it all.

If
If you don't mind, Delphi, Foghorn, your both citizens of Shireroth now, and I am for one am sick of all the damned bickeringDelphi: You were a totalitarian and it came back to bite your ass by everyone else leaving you and you being forced to merge into Shireroth - don't take it out on us. Foghorn: Don't insult your kin, however much you hate them and however much no one else follows that rule

Re: If
Young one speaks without knowing what he speaks. I'm sure he's well aware I'm allowed to speak my opinion on an issue that very much affects me and which I happen to be quite knowledgable about. Now Oz, if you don't want me to come back and bite you in the ass, I suggest you quit making petty insults in my direction when none have been made at you.

Sadly
Sadly, I made no insults. And yet even more sadly, dear Delphi, the truth hurts.
Re: Sadly
Oz, you speak lies. Look up "totalitarian" in the dictionary and you'll find something far worse than I ever was. Even a bunch of people in the Republic now admit that I'm not solely responsible for the split. It's true. It doesn't take much to stay on my nice person list, but if you're going to be an ass to me, you're going to be off, fast.
