We should pull a Stormark and switch to invisionforums, which are pretty much immune to anything that blows Ezboard to smithereens.. not to mention it updates siggies and post co unts etc so you dont have to SEARCH for the last post someone made to know stuff. Last time I checked invision was free, let you put as much stuff on it as you want, and you cant delte the forum unless your the guy who made it... plus... aslong as you keep untrustworthy people from being able to delete it, your safe.And you dont NEED a back up forum with this kind of stuff. Last time I checked, EZBoard was free, provided a moderate amount of customization, and pretty damn hard to hack compared to a script run on your own server. If you didn't know, the worry about getting our own system is the threat of being hacked, not someone dumb deleting it.And only an idiot wouldn't have a backup of their posts. We pay to be a gold community. Or, rather, Jadie has payed for us to be a gold community for a year.As for being a regular EZBoard, we get space and bandwidth for free. As of now, our limited website costs $120 a year. We'd have to pay for all the space the forums would take up, as well as all the bandwidth used as we view them. The EZBoard deal is better than the independant deal, especially so with having to maintenence ourselves. Hell, you wouldn't even be whining about this if EZBoard hadn't been attacked.l And if someone attacked us when we had phpBB, you would be whining about how we should switch back to EZBoard or switch to another system.
