I thought about that, too, actually, but I don't think I'd have remembered to bring it to the public... it's quite true that nobody except the Praetor (and the Kaiser) is supposed to use moderatorial powers in the Landsraad, and Moose ought to be slapped for it. Jag har glömt hur pjäserna stod!

I reopened the thread because I was about to leave for work, I had unofficially assumed MiniInt duties while Joe is gone (And she asked for said person), and I really didn't think it would be worth a brand new thread just to say that, by law, she can't restrict access to the landsraad to a minister without the Kaiser's approval. As I interpreted it then, she meant to take it away of all the landsraad, but reading over it again, I can see that she might've meant to restrict him from posting in only that thread, which could make sense. Actually, I was referring to the entire Landsraad, until he had a reason to be there. As a minister he is not allowed to speak unless summoned, and he had not been. I saw nothing in the procedures that denied me the power of requesting that his access be removed, as I read "banning" as referring to banning from Shireroth (which is rather extreme). If you disagree, I apologize and retract my demands, but I would very much like to hear Greg's opinion on this issue (wherever he is right now) and perhaps edit the procedures to allow the Praetor to kick out misbehaving nobles or ministers after they have been warned.As it is, Iain later claimed that he had spoken under the misguided belief that he was still Baron of Lothlaria. Not only had the Barony Lothlaria been dissolved (de facto) by the DRA (since its existence relied on its parent duchy existing, according to the current FHA, and it was dissolved), but it had never been reformed. He had not checked in in the proper thread in General, nor had he filled out the DRA emergency census, nor had he expressed any interest in the dealings of the DRA other than an abstention that was cast hours after the vote was to close. I didn't even know he was within my jurisdiction as Dutchess, until he notified me of such today. Since he still believed that he was a Baron, I'm prepared to let the issue slide for the time being.I have notified him that he currently holds no title of nobility and started a thread in Kildare for him to sign in and request a title. I may or may not grant Lothlaria the status of Barony again, so as of now Iain only has his postition as MiniEx allowing him access to the Landsraad, and he has been summoned on at least two bills. Actually Johanns, I hold no official sanction in the area of foreign matters, thus I can't speak for Gotzborg in this arena. If I was speaking in a capacity representative of Gotzborg, I would have clearly stated as such. I simply raised this issue not because I want to interfere with Shireroth affairs, but because I was showing support for a friend who I felt was being unfairly persecuted by some of his countrymen here. If you read my original post you'll see that it is a question asking for clarification, hence the "?" at the end. There's no implication...I was simply asking why you (Moose) weren't rebuked as Iain was for what appeared to be, on your part, an infraction of your rights in the Landsraad. After all, fair is fair...even Ari agreed with the necessity of the question. I've committed no wrong in this case.Anyways, babbling aside, question does not equal implication. Can't see how Harvey could twist a question into an implication...good for him though, still shows his amazing qualities are up to par after four years.
