I suppose it could be done either way - just so people get use to a place they can go to from this board to the bank.I've seen it done with a link in the forum title. So the bank good look like it's a forum but when you click on the forum you go directly to the login window at the bank.... or a link somewhere so people can just click and go directly to the bank. Whatever people will use is fine.

I am working on getting sports activity as a part of our economy. Part of this plans calls for the restriction of access to games as it were. I attempted to hire Clarkebenford to produce a script that would limit who can read a thread. It appears this method is not going to work.Therefore I wish to inquire into the possibility of having two forums – one can be hidden and hold old games. The purpose being that those who did not purchase a game ticket will not later be able to go read the game thread.The other forum would have to be administered for access restriction on a regular basis – each time there is a game the list of those who purchased game tickets would have to be updated so as to restrict access to only those people.Is there any possibility of getting something like this set up so that sports will work as part of the economy?Austi

Regarding the Intelligence and SEP:Intelligence is not intended for Secret Evil Plans. Intelligence is for Foreign Intelligence and Espionage (as if), international worries and classified treaties (such as the northfloating or something treaty), and SHINE (wherever that came from).SEP is intended for planning Military attacks in wartimes, secret plots (as would be suggested), and general classified military production/discussion.The Target Range is a testing zone for Military weapons.So far these all have uses, and should all be kept classified.As well among the classified (or as I would rather call them, Protected) fora, should be Mattlore's stadium if ever the userticket script gets working, and possibly the Shirithian Bank if we want to move it back to the fora. Which brings me to my next point:Regarding the bank...Austi - I propose archiving all the banking threads you have in the MiniTrade and starting them over in the Marketplace. This would leave the MiniTrade open to official business as an office, and promote a use for the Marketplace forum. Plus - stock should be kept in the same account as money anyway, as it already is... if ever the stock market does develop, then we can reconfigure this, but in the meanwhile, we can use the bank page for banking, the Marketplace for economic interactions, bills, and taxes, and keep the MiniTrade clean for its own threads (I notice that a few discussion threads are interspersed among the sea of bank threads right now)Also for the time being, I have put up a link to the Shirithian Bank under the forum title for MiniTrade, and if you agree with my suggestion, I can move it to the Marketplace as well...

Also for the time being, I have put up a link to the Shirithian Bank under the forum title for MiniTrade, and if you agree with my suggestion, I can move it to the Marketplace as well... Archiving the banking threads has been proposed before by Scott. When the time is right I agree that it should be done. That time isn’t quite yet here – but perhaps soon. There are still some people who aren’t using the new bank – or even paying their bills. – but yes, as soon as we get people to use the bank. Right now I’m wondering if some of those people might go to do something in economics and if their thread is not in MiniTrade I’m not sure what they might think or do – or not do- as a result. Starting them over in the Marketplace forum shouldn’t be needed. If we wanted them in the Marketplace we could just move them there – but not yet. After having given the stock market much thought for several weeks now I want to say that I don’t want stock kept in the same account as money – I have several reasons for this, but the time isn’t yet here to go into those reason.The stock market will develop as part of the economy – and we are getting closer to that all the time. The phase we’re in right now is good – business development, but we need to get people use to earning wages and spending (using the bank). We need to get business owners and ministers use to charging for their goods and services – and we need to get people use to working for a business or ministry and getting paid wages – and spending. All this is happening, but you can’t push the economy too hard all at once or most people will either get out of it or not get in it. So, I have plans for developing the stock market – but business activity needs to develop a little more yet. I don’t necessarily mean new businesses, just overall business activity. New business is fine though – we just need all that stuff I mentioned already in this paragraph to develop yet. I am hoping to develop the Marketplace forum too – probably with the stock market as a part of it. Well ok, I’ll reveal a little more of the plan right now. At some point, when the bank is more fully developed and used, and collecting a fee for bank statements (oops – hadn’t told anyone that’s coming) – anyways, when all that comes together I intend to have MiniTrade sell the bank so it too can be a private business. At some point the stock market will be developed and sold off as a private business too. Of course, I expect that MiniTrade will suggest legislation to the Landsraad to regulate both of them – we’re just not far enough into the economy yet, but I’m working at it.Anyways, there you go – a peek into some of the plans for the economy. There are other plans too, but there is no reason to reveal all of them yet. In fact it is better, IMHO, to keep them under wraps for now.
