The MCS.... (And Merging maps?)

Post by Erik Mortis »

Quote:-Broadly spread-out land claims stretching across the map are subject to re-assessment and possible relocation at the discretion of the MCS. These claims may be subject to rearrangement for geographical realism and for cartographical purposes in maintaining consolidated and streamlined claims.pub114.ezboard.com/fmicro...D=93.topicThat should proly read.. "I'm gonna change Shireroth's lands (and maybe some other people) despite their protests..."And it would appear WV is planning to trying and merge the MCS with the German micronations version of the MCS.. And it almost sounds like they he'll do it even if people disagree with him. web132.can12.de/forum/thr...c716067976Am I the only one displeased by this? And in general the state of the MCS these days? Erik Mortis BrookshireCommoner of AlexandrettaEdited by: Erik Mortis Brookshire at: 3/29/04 8:00 pm

I'll do that when I think of something interesting to change the message to..but he did help with the graphics.Ryan already asked Shireroth if we wanted to have our lands consolidated (I think his exact proposal was that we move Loth to somewhere on the Audentior continent.) We said no. He said okay. On the other hand, Babkha was very pleased at the opportunity to get some of their more far-flung colonies located a little closer to their mainland, and the change has already been made.A lot of the new, more confrontational language is a result of his wanting to get rid of some of Menelmacar's vast swathes of territory now that it is a nonentity but hasn't technically admitted it's died yet, as well as some random problems with Hanover. There are NO plans to do anything involving Shireroth without our consent.Ryan is as sceptical (hehehehe) as the rest of us about a map-merging. It's at the conference because he was invited, but is so far showing no support for the idea. If the Germans can convince us, so it goes, but it would take a lot of work, and I am sure he will consult everyone first.Give the poor guy a break - he's doing a good job and we're actually getting frequent updates! No plans to do anything without our consent?Says... who?Cause I can tell you WarVoid didn't... seeing as how he said he /was/ going to move around Shirerothian land no matter what we thought.I am VERY unhappy with that comment of his, by the way. I have talked to him...and the comment about Shireroth was misinterpreted. He has no plans to remove any of our land nor to change its location without our permission.I have registered for and am taking part in the German conference. If we decide to make any sweeping changes, I am sure we will ask everyone for their opinion and such, starting with you.

one thing I am not happy about is borders...all the borders being put in these days look like someones made a line in paint....obviosly not everyone has fractel line makers, but they (like I did) could just used lines that have been made before and re hash them, so they look real "Disclaimer: Whatever is in the above post is probably a result of my blind following of Kieran Bennett, because I have even less of a brain than Kieran. Don't even get me started on my lack of independent thought."

I do not exactly remember what I said in the chat last night. I do not intend to go through with anything without everyone being kosher. Despite SOMEONE'S *glares* insistence i'm out to get him and Shireroth. Why don't you ask Zary how he cussed me out in the chat last night while I was trying to act civil about it? That is what got me pissed off last night and I probably said something to the effect he and Shireroth can stuff it. Etiquette is important to me when dealing with official matters and I do not take being cussed out by a Shirerithian official lightly. And regarding Hanover - I'll have you know I received an official and personal apology from their King on behalf of their citizens' poor manners towards me.Regarding the merger - We are discussing it with the Germans. There is a lot of chit-chat going on which you do not even see and which you cannot even begin to imagine the scope of. Don't pop up in the middle of it with false presumptions. If you have a question, then ask me dammit. The French, Portuguese, Dutch, Brazilians and everyone else you can imagine are in on this conference. I am honoured to be attending it and you, Erik, should be honoured that the MCS was invited. Do not think I will sacrifice to values and traditions of the MCS just to appease the negotiators, because I will not. What I will do is press for common ground where both sides can agree mutually.Again, if you have a question, ASK ME. Cussing me out will get you blocked. But if you can have an intelligent conversation then IM or e-mail me.And you can take my name down. That wasn't the point of my argument at the time and I already apologised to you, Scott, for that outburst. Useless art is simply tolerated vandalism. I am a vandal.

No offense, WarVoid, but Zary is far from a Shirithian official. He's a citizen, and not really a representative of the Shirithian government. So if he cussed you out, he cussed you out because of his own opinion. Oh look, a Thing Of Beauty. Let's blow it up.--Advocate of B0O0/\/\ism : Priest of Horjin--

Why did I start cussing, WarVoid? Why did I even /get/ into that discussion?Oh yes, that's right...Because you said you didn't care one whit for what Erik thought and were tired of his childishness. And when pressed for reasoning as to why the MCS wanted to move borders... It was because you were (Mind you, you said nothing about /potetionally/ but that you /were/) going to have to once you destroyed some of the continents to add the german ones. Also, it was because, as you said, 'we' (refering to... well, you...) reserve that right. When asked if it was not /also/ MCS policy that the physical aspect of the map remained the same, you merely said I couldn't possibly know what was going on. Without actually answering the question. When asked, yet again, why it was 'necessary'... your response was that it was to bring German and English MNs together (A worthy goal, but one much better off left to the MNs themselves... a point you ignored). And by this point, I was pretty much fed up with you and your comment that I don't get a say (Which, while technically true shows just how much you actually care about what people think about your actions involving the MCS) was the last straw. At which point my civility quickly went out the window.Later on in the night, you claimed you had already consulted nations about your 'plan'... nations who leaders, by the way, have no bloody clue about your 'plan'.So, there it is. All laid out nice and pretty like for you, WarVoid. And personally, I'll take honest vulgarity over feigned civility any day. At least I'm honest enough to admit when I'm unhappy with a situation. The MCS map

Post by Austi Scot »

I, for one, would like to see a MCS map that includes micronations from all around the world - French, German, Scottish, Brazilian, Spanish, England, American - all of us ... and leaves room open to have micronations that either are may come into existance from other countries.Once done it can be used as a basis for both real world international interaction and mironational interaction.Perhaps a MCS map that roughly simulates the real life land masses of the real earth --- then perhaps a rule that a miconation must be on the land of the map (at least to start) that simulates the real world land where they start.Yeah, if anyone who has the ability to present that idea wants to - use it, claim it if you want - it won't bother me.Austi Scot

Since this has turned into wild accusations and blame-pointing, if no one minds I'm just going to close it since it turns out this thread is a nonissue.
